Idiot fans were making light of Penn State using child rape as a punchline. She, on behalf of Rutgers, apologized to the public and to the Penn State AD. How is that wrong? That isn't "at it" again and it certainly was the appropriate action to take after such an unfortunate display.
I'm curious what you think she should have said. When she was asked about it by the press you would have rather she said what exactly? "To hell those inbred treejumpers!" Cause I don't think that would really make this story go away.

I think the key to the story is contained in this quote from the article: "Hermann alluded to both the T-shirts and the banner in a news release and said they briefly appeared on Rutgers' Facebook page as part of a 200-picture montage. The photos were immediately removed."

Probably more appropriate for another board with a cross-post reference at most here. You know what I'm saying?

Karma baby. Mr Goodell is getting his now on a National Stage. I don't necessarily care for her, but what she did in this instance calls for AT LEAST an "attagirl." Not a personal attack.

No, you're missing the point. The official Rutgers athletics Facebook page posted the pictures (among many others). When that became an issue, she criticized the fans but didn't acknowledge or apologize for the error in judgement in posting the pictures in the first place.

This thread is misleading from the get go! She never was a "great" volleyball coach and never will be a "great" admin. Just using Title IX to her personal advances. Unfortunately she is not the only one. And on the other note, Rutgers shows how tasteless they are. Sad, but it's just a confirmation of how she got the job at first.
