Well deserved. She was absolutely dominant in the USC win and it sounds like she had an even better match the day before. Can't think of anyone in the nation with more upside than her.

Just imagine her with a year of D-1 volleyball experience and training! Great kid, humble about her game, and wanting to learn all she can!

Do we have a front runner for Freshman of the Year, I am sure Ali Frantti will have plenty to say about that along win the other outside at Oregon, or Tia Scambray at Washington. Two weeks in a row where a middle won the award. Her hitting percentage against USD was .800 without an error is pretty amazing. She hit .350 against SC still pretty good. Is she still the M2 behind Antwi. I love when middles can hit and block. Also the comparisons to Inky have already begun both players are great too bad we don't get to see that match up this season unless they were to meet in the tourney.

Scambray won't get enough touches to be be in contention, that I can assure you of.

Shebby from Oregon seems like a good candidate. PAC12 FOW twice already.

I am an Ali F fan as well. I thought at the outset that Rhamat was a project. I was wrong. I am looking forward as the season unwind to see just how far ahead of schedule she can get! With her athleticism, attitude, positive personality, and desire to excel the sky is the limit, The kid is amazing!

Nope, you can't...I really hope Mary works on her power and abilities with her wrist so she can learn to snap balls at a sharper angle while also clearing the block. Getting up over the block is great, but hitting the ball where there is no defender is even better. It's actually the biggest issue I have with Adams on the NT. She has amazing hang time, great power, etc. etc., but the control she has with her shots isn't where it could be, probably because it didn't have to be at Texas. Learning better wrist control for middles allows them to be effective even without the set they are looking for.

The amazing thing about that video clip is that Alhassan is being blocked by Alaysia Brown, who has some amazing hops of her own....and is useless against that attack.
