Six league teams posted undefeated marks last week, including 4-0 records by Baylor, K-State, Oklahoma and West Virginia. The Big 12 is 71-15 after three weeks in non-conference play, a winning record of .826.
Baylor leads the Big 12 in assists, kills and digs, while Texas tops the league in hitting percentage and blocks. The 3.36 blocks per set for UT is second-best in the nation.

An example of cupcake scheduling?
After Texas, one conference team is in the Top 25 and 24th at that.
Texas Tech is 9 - 0. That pretty much says it all.

The Big 12 is doing what conferences need to do in the pre-season, WIN. The top teams in the conference are playing strong teams... Texas played Florida and Arizona and is playing Nebraska. Iowa State played Stanford, FSU and Minnesota. Oklahoma played Florida and nearly won. KU played Penn State. TCU played Penn State. K-State played Arizona, Arkansas. The teams that typically are at the bottom of the conference (Tech) are playing teams they can beat. This is responsible scheduling! Their is no reason for a team to go into conference with a losing record. Take a look at who Penn State is playing, Iona, Yale, Depaul, Eastern Illinois, East Carolina, William and Mary... talk about cupcakes mixed in with 3 top 25 teams! You're not serious about comparing Penn State to the lesser teams of the Big 12?
Again, Texas Tech is undefeated. That says it all.

Texas Tech is 9 - 0. That pretty much says it all.Considering my DVR is full of "Abilene Christian at TCU," "Incarnate Word at Texas Tech" and "South Dakota St. at Kansas St.," I might be inclined to agree with you. If those are the matches worth televising........

My point was that even PSU is scheduling cupcakes. Cupcakes for them and cupcakes for Texas Tech are obviously different. No one goes out and plays tough top 50 RPI teams every night in the pre-season. Are Texas Tech's wins over inferior opponents... Yes... Should they be playing better teams... Probably, but this is what their coach felt like they needed.

If those are the matches worth televising........ 1) I think Fox Sports is mostly interested in local match ups that would have viewers from both schools and 2) Would you rather Tech be 0-9? Why all the Tech bashing? Certainly 9-0, no matter who they play, is better for the conference than 0-9.
