So....maybe I was right about Howard all along? Very doubtful. But give Dunning a call!

Stanford OH's struggling...which will be status quo for this team, and what will make or break their season. Sorry, but nobody is winning the NC without a strong performance from the LS. I think Burgess gets a passing grade ... at least she hits in system balls pretty well and everyone once in awhile can bury an out of system ball. But she is not an A hitter. Howard. OTOH, is struggling yet again this year ... can't seem to put a high outside ball away against a decent block. It seems like most of her kills are off tips or BHEs. Bottomline, most teams have better left side hitters (in aggregate) than Stanford.

Did USD lose some players from last year's team? Seems this year's squad is not as good as last year. Or Maybe STanford is just too good Yes, the team lost three key seniors from last year's team, Chloe Ferrari, Taylor Hollins, and Cera Oliveira. Oliveira was one of the top liberos in the nation with a 4.77 dog average and Ferrari was a top middle, with 3.13 kpg and .444 hitting average. Hollins was a big loss too with her 2.73 kpg average. This year the team is no where near the quality of last year's team which was ranked fairly high most of the season. They also lost setter Rachel Alvey, who graduated last year.
