One win, IMO, won't get them into the rankings. If it was against a top ten, then yes. But not a 19. But who knows. it's not just who you beat that will get you in. need some teams at the bottom of the poll to fall out too. even with msu losing to an unranked team, it's still pretty crowded at the bottom of the poll. csun was due for a win. and beating usd will help the conference rpi. and a lost to STanford will still help the conference rpi

Maybe Texas A &M will drop too for losing today? they lost to fsu, who is ranked #6 in the avca poll. tamu is ranked #21. they may drop a little (if at all), but they won't drop out of the poll. **my bad for the repetitive post ... i know see the earlier responses.

Texas A&M isn't going anywhere - they lost 3-1 to a Florida State squad that is undefeated and has victories over Florida & Nebraska.. Marquette possibly ranking next week for upsetting Florida Gators today? And some team pulled an upset over Purdue today? Not sure which team Marquette had no votes coming into this week. I doubt they'll be ranked even with there win at Florida. Saint Louis also had no votes plus they lost against Norte Dame right after their big win against Purdue.

Not sure which team Texas A&M has two victories over Top-25 teams so they should still stay above the St. Louis team that upset Purdue ... as for Marquette I think they'll definitely be in the Top 25.

A&M beat both SC and San Diego back to back: add in they only had one lost at that point while Marquette has 3 losses already. The questionable lost to Rice like you mention doesn't help matters.

Magill could be putting up monster numbers with better setting. Higgins setting will be Hawaii's undoing. Still I think mMagill is probably the second best middle in the nation next to Inky.

Who cares about rankings. There are only 2 ways you get into the Tournament, one is, win your Conference, and two, have an RPI less then 50. The Wahine can be Ranked 25, finish 2nd in the BWC, and have a RPI of 55, and they will probably not get into the Tournament. Why cause the committee does not look at Rankings. The last few years has proven that. The Wahine have been ranked in the Top 16, but never was chosen to host a 1st and 2nd round, cause their RPI was to low.

But not until 2011 (correct me if I'm wrong) was a seed a gatunteed host. So the rpi hasn't always been bad for the wahine, just the committee when it came to host
