I'm PUMPED for this match! I'll say Wisconsin in 5 though.

If it goes 5 then the advantage shifts to Penn State.

I'm thrilled at the prospect of seeing a game I care about in hi-def.

This one might sell out the Field House. We'll need a few sell-outs this year to convince the athletic department to invest the $$ in the safety improvements necessary to reopen the upper deck.

UW always plays PSU tough at Madison. I expect the Field House will be electric and packed to the rafters. One saving grace for PSU is that at least its not a Halloween night match. I hope both teams bring their "A" games as that would mean we were in for an epic battle. Should be a good one in any case. I'm sorry I won't get to see this excellent UW team in person at Rec Hall. Asymmetric scheduling is a bummer for us fans of BT VB.

Both teams have favorable schedules later in year. Wisconsin only has psu and Nebraska once and their done with psu after next week. Psu is done with badgers and finished with Nebraska and Minnesota on road in first two weeks. They're schedule is front heavy. If they get by first two weeks sets up very nice for them Also

I believe Penn state is the most talented team in country.
Experienced Wisconsin gets a break in getting PSU team still figuring things out in terms of lineups and frannti first big ten road game...
Badgers in an exciting 4 games.

I had earlier predicted the Badgers would win because of HCA and more experience but after the way they folded like a tent against the Huskies, I am puzzled. The Badgers cannot afford to lose this match if they have any hopes of winning the league. Still they have the easier schedule and are the favorite this year.

"folded like a tent"? Ok. I didn't know a 5 setter won by 3 points in the fifth by the home team at what felt like 12:30 AM to the visiting team, was folding like a tent, but whatever.
The Lions can afford to lose this and still win the league.

At this point it prob doesn't matter if they win big or not. They can still be best team tourney time and will have a full season for the three freshman and rest of team to be on same page

I think the odds are good they will prob have a few bumps this season and there's a above average chance 1 could come in first two weeks having Wisconsin Minnesota and Nebraska all on road

I'm surprised the mascot balloting is so close. Bucky Badger reminds me of Mr. Whipple in the old Charmin toilet paper ads.
