So why is Florida ranked so high but struggling? Injuries? 1. Different starting setter this year. 2. Some younger players having growing pains and also wondering who will solidify at the OH 2. 3. Dagastino still doesn't set the middles high enough in sideout offense or transition offense consistently. 4. Making too many hitting and serving errors. 5. Not penetrating on the swing block at the right time, or having hands turned weird directions etc and thats just the start of a long list that needs to be cleaned up by post season, or I hope we get better at these things at least.

That last AlHassan solo stuff was just epic. Can't imagine the terror shes going to bring to opposing hitters when shes a senior.

Time to bury them and move on to getting ready for SEC play. Gators win 3-1.

I was glad to see Shainah Joseph step up her play a bit today. Besides that one overpass that just went right over her head, she seemed pretty into it. Definitely got her offense going. I am very thankful for Holston though, she's definitely the go-to player and everyone in the gym knows she's getting the ball, yet she still gets it down. She's very dependable when our middles or one of our outsides are underperfoming.

So why is Florida ranked so high but struggling? Injuries? Antwi is out due to concussion, Recek is working her way back in to the line up after recovering from concussion, I am told. Joseph has come along since subbing for Antwi but there is a learning curve. She did fine today. Recek looked like herself for the first time. I don't know why Santos Lamb is not playing. Hopefull ynot her knee. Snyd er had some good swings, but is still youngster. Ahassan is so long she can correct her mistakes in mid play. Holston was stellar, and IMHO , carried the team in the sketchy moments. I think the Mrquette lesson was learned and we should improve as the hurt kids heal and the young kids play! It was great to see Michelle Chatman and watch her coach! Nice young woman and a future head coach!

Antwi gave Joseph a long, much deserved hug after the match. Not going for the overpass was horrible but she learned from it -- she got every overpass that came her way after that.
