Hawaii doesn't need four liberos and DS on the road. And it's not like UH even needs all of them, each libero basically comes into serve for the second libero and that's it each night. More hitters the better, and yeah, long is decent enough to provide something from the back row. Now that you've mentioned it, yeah. Especially with Taylor back, all three pin hitters play six rotations. So there's only need for one - Ponce, who serves for Magill. Perhaps another one to sub for Greeley if she's struggling. Long has not been decent at anything this season. Her back row play has been really lacking.

Hmmm... and to think Jane Croson would have been a Senior this year... I wonder how the team would be if she were were still a Wahine

It's sad but so true. I really like Jane as a person, really a nice kid with a happy loose, go lucky personality, always polite and always brightening up the atmosphere when around people. But unfortunately had habits which I won't say what, that did inhibit the chemistry at practice time. Saying all that I hope that posters would give it a rest, it's all in the past. I am still in touch with her and she's doing fine, pondering her options for the future. She's a bright kid and will be fine.

Croson was a typical college student. Leave it at that.

Especially considering she's not even at AZ anymore. I bet Rubio is now saying, "Damn it Shoji, I gave you Magill, and you gave me Croson..."....all in fun. Best wishes to her. And, Hawaii's doing just fine without her in my opinion. They could've used her more last year than this year.
