Would love to see Loyola Marymount make it. They have a really good squad this season. I can definitely see Hawaii there next year, with their current team including some very good recruits coming next year!

BYU this year. Colorado State with a little bit of luck and good tourney pairings. I think Hawai'i is a year away.

Is Purdue more of a wildcard? Thanks

Purdue was just interesting, 35 is their Massey ranking, kinda in the middle of these non-BCS schools, they seem like a middle of the pack Big-12 team...so far
and their poll ranking is #15 versus the Massey ranking of #35 (that's quite a difference)
Northridge is just the opposite, rating #16 in Massey versus a poll rating of #37
Purdue & Northridge are an interesting comparison
Purdue beat San Diego at home, Northridge beat San Diego at San Diego Purdue lost to West Kentucky at West Kentucky, Northridge beat West Kentucky on a neutral site Purdue lost to a team outside the top 100. Purdue is 1-1 vs. the top 50 and played 3 top 50 teams, Northridge is 4-3 vs. the top 50 (all on the road)
the data suggests (at this point) that Northridge and Purdue probably aren't that far apart

I can think of no system that warrants Northridge as 16th best team. A win over San Diego; lost to Arizona, Stanford, Oklahoma. No other big wins.

No other big wins. then you need to review the ENTIRE body of work and data , not just 3 matches (all on the road btw) and I can safely assume by your logic that you can think of no system that warrants Purdue as the 15th best team

BYU this year. Colorado State with a little bit of luck and good tourney pairings. I think Hawai'i is a year away. Why do you think BYU, when CSU beat them at a neutral site if CSU finishes conference undefeated which looks very possible they could and should get a top seed and would likely host first couple of rounds.

Because I believe BYU is a better team (despite their loss to the Rams in New Mexico.) If by top seed, you mean top 4, I would doubt that very much. That said, a top 16 seed, which is probable, would lead to an sub regional in Mobey.

A sub regional they would be a tough out at home.

To get that far that means you have to beat one of the top 4. Could any of these teams beat Penn state, Stanford, Texas, Washington or Wisconsin? Not likely.

I think BYU would do very well against Texas. Alexa Gray had a rough match when they took Washington to 5, if she was on, they probably would have won. If Stanford gets out of system and can't set Inky, they can be vulnerable.

Not if one of the Top 4 ends up on the monster bracket and gets upset earlier by another Top 10, as we have seen in basketball from time to time. I think we are drawing close to a time where a non-BCS team makes the run to the final four, but I do agree it is not likely without a little help from some other teams...

I'm with the WIZ, GO LMU Lions!!! UCLA's sweep of USC makes LMU's sweep of UCLA even more meaningful. They face a tough Pacific squad on Thursday, I'll hold my roar to a low roar for now. But it's a roar nonetheless.
