I think SC will beat ASU in 3. They remain a tough team.
The coaches now have their practice plans for the next few weeks. Hopefully they can improve the ball control

Did I hear the announcer say Nwanebu fractured a vertebrae during Montreux tourney? Yes he did say she fractured her back. And was just released 3 weeks ago to practice. Hopefully Nwanebu and USC can get it together on the court, sooner then later.

In their four recent losses, the Trojans haven't stopped any of the opposing offenses (hitting percentages in parentheses).
Texas A&M .319 Florida .303 Wisconsin .320 UCLA .291

I don't remember the exact play she injured herself but it was during a normal hit or block, she came down visibly hurting and she stayed on the court and kept playing for a few minutes! She probably needs to work on her nutrition, as do most athletes really.

Yikes..........................could this be the 1st season in Micks tenure that they dont host the 1st round or maybe miss the NCAA'S? They would have to be ineligible for the tournament to miss it. USC's SOS is too good...they can take a lot of losses and still have an RPI that easily puts them in the tourney.

USC looks big, powerful and lumbering. Saw most of their games. So much talent so little results. i'm thinkng like the wahine they'll show up late in the season.

I just don't think Nwanebu is good enough to be relied on so much right now. She doesn't look happy. She always looks defeated. That mentality can affect your game a lot. I'm still holding out hope that she finds her way back to her home state to finish out her collegiate career . . .

BTW, being played on UCLA's "home" court at Pepperdine. I was wondering where they were tp play their "Home Matches" this season. Southern Cal would not have worked out they play the same days.

She's an elite volleyball player, her unhappiness is the result of her not performing to her expectations and losing matches that she believes they would have won if she could perform like last season.
The smile will return when she can play at 100%. The winning is a bit more complicated

I am over the USC setters… Crone is average and Pizzasegola is just not working. I would rather have Young set, at least she'll turn and hit the ball.
What about USC's other outsides? Ruddins is injured I know, but what about Wheatley or Livingston? Are they just not that good??

You win and lose because of your outsides. It is simple as that. Abercrombie, although she hits D1 angles, does not have D1 arm strength. On the other side of the net v UCLA Reilly Bucechler does. The jump up works for some to the D1 level and not others. Bricio might start to get frustrated at some point. USCs setting is suspect. But, it is not how good you are, it is how good you are getting. Lets hope all improve by years end.
