I read this thread only to see if anyone mentioned the facial Taylor gave to Hayley Crone. That was the hardest one I've seen in a while. Crone was never the same, and had a cotton swab sticking out of her nostril the rest of the match. As Marlow would say "a trip to the beauty parlor."

Do you really enjoy watching a player get hurt on the court? How would you feel if that happened to your setter?

Crone is tough and I admire the fact that she still fought and wanted to play. I did not like the part where Coach Haley yelled at Crone for not being ready to sub in while she was being treated by Abigail, the Athletic Trainer. Poor Crone ran onto the court being partially treated, when her nose started to bleed again and causing additional blood spots on the court a few plays later. He then yelled at Abigail for causing Crone's delay. I don't understand why he is this way sometimes. Heat of the moment? Very expressive with his feelings? Maybe I'm in the minority here but I don't mind people talking about plays like that. I wouldn't like it if it happened to a player on my team, but I don't mind if it's talked about.

The older you get the more crotchety you get ... Mick is old school, but he has tried to moderate his handling of players/staff. It's just that under duress, old habits resurface.

At the match and the crowd is quite sad. Very few people. Less than usual I should say. Wait till tonight when Southern Cal football plays at the same time on TV. I got bad vibes from Southern Cal at the end of last season and it continues on. The arrogance of the Souhtern Cal staff is troubling and very sad. Yes we know you are great and we bow to you,..........well that ship has sailed as reality comes crashing in.

If Southern Cal gives up the ghost tonight they will not make the NCAA'S. Why? Utah's passing and setting is even worse than the Trojans'
