Tough year riddled with injuries. 3 starters out most of the season. tonight's match was the first match with all the starters back and Laura Jones goes down with a major knee injury in set 2. They still play well and lead KU in all the sets but give up 21-17 leads in sets 3 and 4. They still have beat some good rpi teams including #18 Kansas State. Feel terrible for Jones and the team. FYI, the program was a sweet 16 team before Pryor. They were worse each year he was there. The team is talented and the 2015 class is very good, probably Top 15. Can't overcome mass injuries. Watched online tonight and they played hard and had KU on the ropes. KU was ranked earlier and picked 2nd in Big 12.

Sweet 16 team? Please. What's the saying about excuses?
Baylor volleyball is Baylor volleyball - mediocre.
Except for the seasons when they had the top setter and OH together, they are where they usually are.

Hmm, now what? Haven't won a Big XII match since the K-State match. The line up was quite different in that match vs tonight's lineup. How was Baylor able to beat K-State and not win again?

I'm sure there are a lot of teams and coaches that would be very happy to be a mediocre team in the Big 12. They will return every starterr and add a top 20, 2015 class next year. Let's see how that works out.

Let's see how that works out. No they aren't a mediocre Big 12 team, they are an awful Big 12 team, they have one win. They are a mediocre overall team 11-11. Doesn't get more mediocre than that.

I scratch my head at this because they have some talent on their roster and have two quality 6 rotation outsides. What is even more hard to believe is the match they won was at K-State, they are doing pretty good, and Malloy sat out that match.

I know nothing about this team, but they've got an OUTSTANDING middle coming in next season.

Need a coaching change, but I don't think Baylor VB is that important for the AD to make the change. Finishing around .500 is acceptable.
Except for having Taylor Barnes and Breyfogle lead his team to the Sweet 16, Jim Barnes has consistently underachieved.
