Alright, the final with the teams I wanted to see (sorry Brazilian and Italian fans, you have great teams, but I always prefer US vs China in the final) Hope I'm not jinxing the team, but I on paper I think the US should be the better team over China (and hence has the advantage and higher chance of winning). However, in the China vs Italy match, it was the best match that China has played so far, their reception and ball control, their long time weakness, has improved a lot in that match, and you can see the fire and passion in the Chinese eyes, they are improving a lot game by game. So its anyone's guess who will win the Championship.

May The Force Be With the Ladies. If Karch leads this team to our first World Championship, I say we freeze him in carbonite and mount him on the wall, just like Han Solo.

we had better scout and make sure we have our blocking and back court efficiently coordinated. I'd like to see us have a high sideout percentage tomorrow and score in bunches in transition, and have no mental lapses late in sets.

I'd like to see us hit a zillion 3/4 roll shots about 5 feet away from Zhu Ting.

Naw, I want them to hit as HARD as they can high and flat, and deeper into the court unless they have no block or a solo block, then radical sharp angle or line whichever is open, i want to see someones head get ripped off or face get rearranged. They need to learn not to tip when it's obvious they are in trouble, sometimes the best time, if your a player that doesn't have a "tell" is when your in system or if you are really evil ina long rally in transition, if you don't do it very often. Defenders won't even move towards it except for maybe a step before it hits the floor. Also it's fun to whack it off somones face or head when they are blocking by themselves if they split their arms trying to take some line and angle, but im evil soo..

China's a weak passing team, USA should win easily in a sweep. WC Gold will give Karch an abundance of Dark side of the Force which will be tested, and should* be defeated in Rio, if justice is to prevail.

There is no way US can lose...is there?
I won't be so bold in my predictions since anything can happen in the final...

There is no way US can lose...is there? Yes we could lose... obviously, China could play the best match of their lives tomorrow. Be interesting to see what they do with their blocking scheme to slow down Murphy and Larson, and Hill. If they can't get us out of system Foluke will make it hard for them to deal with the pin hitters so it won't matter if we pass well at a high enough rate.

I'm very optimistic about the match tomorrow for the USA......I felt the same way in 2002 also. Hoping that my gut is right on this one.

The last time we played China was August 30, 2013 in the final round of the Grand Prix (a three set loss--we lost 5 of 6 matches in that round). So, it's essentially an unknown--neither team will be familiar with the other in any meaningful way. Needless to say, whichever team executes their style better has the advantage.

Half of Jacque's kills against them we're roll shots to zone 6. China's defense is surprisingly bad. And by the way, any news on the status of the Chinese middle that went down with an injury against the Dominican Republic?

One is going for their first ever major. The other is trying to make JLP the first woman to lead the team to a major
Sheilla Castro said she was tired of winning silver. Congratulations to her cos she will not win one this time
