I think PSU will have a hard time getting 5 players as AA if they lose any further matches. I think Courtney will be the first to drop off the list if she continues playing the way she has as of late. I am glad to see Boukather on your list...she is doing a fabulous job for Stanford this year. If Merete Lutz continues leading the nation in hitting percentage, I think it will be hard leaving her off at least the third team, particularly considering her line is pretty much equal to Alahassan (whom has slightly more blocks but a lower hitting percentage. ) Here are my picks: Player of the Year: Krista Vansant Coach of the Year: Chris Poole, FSU Freshman of the Year: Rhaman Alhassan, Florida 1st Team All-Americans: Ajanaku-Stanford Bugg-Stanford Hancock-Penn State Carlini-Wisconsin Thomas-Wisconsin Walch-Florida State Hamson-BYU Lowe-UCLA Nichol-Purdue Birks-Illinois Eckerman-Texas Alhassan-Florida Kingdon-Arizona Vansant-Washington 2nd Team All-Americons: Holston-Florida Grant-Penn State Bell-Texas Boukather-Stanford Snider-Colorado State Courtney-Penn State Frantti-Penn State Sybeldin-Washington McMahon-Illinois Gardner-Arizona State Rolfzen-Nebraska Bettendorf-Oregon Morey-Wisconsin Bergren-Kentucky Just missed/3rd Teamers: Bricio-USC Ogbogu-Texas Chapman-Wisconsin Burrington-Florida State Whitney-Penn State Gray-BYU Nelson-North Carolina Reinig-Michigan State Burgess-Stanford No opinions on this?

I am not so sure that alhassan makes freshman of the year which i can see happening and also first team.
I think from the SEC you have three names that might be considered for third team Dagastino from Florida, merideth hays from arkansas and shelby sullivan from Texas A&m. I also like Jackie Nappier libero but dont see many ds/liberos on list on any consistant basis

Who would be the bros on the list? That's a good question because there have been 2/3 in recent years. Moster is probably the best, but not sure her team is doing well enough.
Gilbert has gaudy dig stats and plays on a top team, so she is probably the favorite (but she's also in a VERY tough region). Wong-Orantes might sneak into 3rd team.

I have a hard time seeing 3 setters on first team. Micha, Madi and LC are all quality setters, though... And if all three teams do well...
How often are there 3 setters on first team? Unprecedented?

Don't forget Taylor Morey, who leads the B1G in digs by >.5/set.

Only 1 MB and 4 Setters on the 1st Team? I would love to see that but I don't think its going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gilbert or Morey from Wisconsin sneak onto one of the three teams.

Off the top of my head, in 1998 there was May, Nepo and Bremner...granted those 3 probably finished 1-2-3 in NPOY voting. Carlini and Hancock are locks for 1st Team, and Bugg/Nichol are both having All-American caliber seasons.

Hancock and Grant should be locks, the three pin hitters are all contenders but not locks. And Lutz has done a great job, I could see her landing on a team. Alhassan is a much better blocker though and hits virtually the same percentage as Lutz (.461 vs. .481), so she gets the nod over Lutz in my book.

Agree about Alhassan...no doubt she will be on one of the teams. More was just saying that if Alhassan is a first team AA, then I think Lutz will land on at least 3rd team. Mosher from FSU is having a great year as well. Every big game, it seems like she is getting 25+ digs and is the real vocal leader on that FSU squad.... She would get my vote

She would get my vote I agree with you on FSU's Mosher in the conversation for AA on one of the three teams. She has had 30+ digs in 3 critical matches this season.. the first being Nebraska with 33 digs... she had 34 digs in the match vs. Miami..many other matches 20-25+ digs... FSU is a huge blocking team so her digs /set may not be as high as others but she covers that back court with tremendous leadership. She is a three year captain and continues to provide a steady leadership for this team with 9 new players.. there is a reason they are 19-0 so far this season.. she is a big factor in this winning team.

Caitlin Nolan at Iowa State may make it to continue the line of ISU liberos getting AA.

It's nice to see khat bell on a team
However I don't think Haley eckerman stats scream first team
2.91 k/s, .267%, 1.27 dg, 0.32 blk/set
Vs Khat Bell
2.42 k/s, .343% 0.53 dg, 1.0 blk/set
I would give Bell the nod of first team.
Also very happy Morgan from Stanford on the list.
I think Gilbert or the libero from florida state should be consider to be 3rd team
