I'm shocked NE is ranked as high as they are. Agreed. They have the potential to be VERY good, but they are to inconsistent. They are 17-19th IMO WILDLY inconsistent. Hopefully they can get that ironed out by tournament time although I see little to suggest they will.

Kind of interesting how close Stanford and Texas are in total points (1495 to 1429) yet so far apart in 1st place votes (Stanford 55; Texas 4). Given how close the Stanford vs. PSU match was (and PSU is ranked 7th with 3 losses and 0 1st place votes) I'm not sure why voters are comfortable declaring Stanford so superior to Texas. The voters have to pick someone at #1. What is your argument for Texas being #1 over Stanford? You must have one, or else you wouldn't be complaining. The PSU Stanford beat was ranked #1, not #7, FYI. Yes, Texas could easily be the #1. It seems that once coaches pick a #1, they don't change their votes much unless that team loses. So, they're sticking with Stanford until they lose. But also, Stanford has beaten eight top-20 teams, three top-ten teams. They swept Nebraska, while Texas needed 5 sets. That being said, Texas is a great team, and on a good night, can beat Stanford or any other team in nation.

I was making an observation and simply pointing out that I wasn't sure why voters are comfortable declaring Stanford #1 over Texas. If you think that's complaining, I'd hate to see how you handle a real complaint.

Great to see Long Beach State ranked. They have really bounced back from a tough year last season.

I hate to say it, but I don't think MN is a top 25 team right now.

Minnesota hasn't NOT been ranked in like 4-5 years, correct? Next week could be the first time they aren't ranked in a long time. They are looking to join Hawaii on power VB schools who are not being ranked for the first time in a long time this season. I still think those schools are on the cusp though lacking consistency the talent is on the squads they are both lacking somethings. Also it hurts when you graduate AA's The problem with Hawai'i is not talent. The talent is there, it's execution. Is it in bad taste to refer to student athletes as "boneheads"? If the answer is yes, I will reserve further comment on the Wahine.
