Watched the OU vs K-State match on TV tonight. What a comeback in game 3 by K-State. I wasn't sure about how good K-State is... but after tonight I have a new respect for them. They will be a tough out come tournament time. Both of these teams are young so this should be another exciting battle in the future.

They also have great fan support at home games.
So, Baylor lost to West Virginia at home to officially become the worst volleyball program in the Big 12. How long until Barnes moves on or is moved on?

Kansas is now 3-4 in conference. They have a 4 set loss to Texas and 3 5 set-losses in conference. They are now 0-4 in 5 set matches this year - their inability to win a 5th set has killed them. As mentioned with Kansas State and Oklahoma - Kansas is also a very young team. They graduated 4 starters and their top DS from last year's team (which also included their 2 most valuable players). Of their 8 top players this year - they have 3 Freshman and 2 Sophs. Looks like they had a pretty good recruiting year.
Oklahoma is 5-2 - but has yet to play Texas this season.
Kansas State is also 5-2 and are now in the driver seat for 2nd place in the conference. Their only loss in conference other than against Texas came in a 5 set loss to Baylor at home. This is Baylor's only win in conference.
Iowa State is 3-4 in confernce, but have already lost to Tech and TCU.

Now that the NCAA is no longer going to support Equestrian as an emerging sport and other schools are eliminating their programs it leaves the door wide open for Oklahoma State to add a program.

10. Oklahoma State (0-0, 0-0 Big 12): The equestrian team's crushing loss at Baylor resulted in a four-spot drop in the latest NCEA rankings. In a sport with only 18 Division I teams, it's a devastating blowGood one.

That's a pretty funny dig at Oklahoma State, actually, giving a rundown of how their equestrian team is doing in the volleyball power rankings.

The other Big 12 schools know if OK State had a program it would strengthen the conference because OK State would throw money at it to get it off the ground fast.
