Well the title to this thread is a bit disappointing.

Well, it's up to her in the sense that unconditional surrender is now her only realistic option. Any chance she might have harbored of the NT staff begging her to come back went up in smoke with the WCH gold. The fact you consider it "unconditional surrender" tells me all I need to know. I had no idea she was at war, but if that's how she perceives it, good riddance. I certainly don't speak for her, but what I'm saying doesn't seem to be a stretch for anyone familiar with their disagreement/conflict.

Does anyone know why there are fans in the crowd with blue masks covering their faces uhhhhh It is pretty common in Asian countries to wear a mask if either you are feeling a little under the weather and do not want to get others sick, or if you are going out during cold & flu season and do not want to get sick yourself.

The change in hairdo was pretty odd. Screw the ankle, just fix the weave!
I thought Hooker looked decent. Not in 2012 form yet, but maybe not so far off. Watching her play reminded me that she's a much better blocker/defender than Murphy. Hooker doesn't have the same type of quick arm as Murphy. I feel like Hooker has to drive hard and fast on her approach and that helps her generate more heat. I know that should be the case for a lot of players, but I feel like some really thrive on hitting faster tempo. Hodge is another one.
I hope she rejoins the US NT next season and that the team still gels.

IDEA: Spend the next two years switching Kelly back to a setter and have Kelly and Destinee both in the lineup!

Have you never seen a player in women's volleyball refix or change from pony to bun if their hair in the way.......not sure it's that odd.

Seems like it would be uncomfortable to tuck the hair down the back of the jersey. It's not the same as going from pony to bun.

Those surgical masks are designed to prevent the medical staff from inadvertently spreading germs by coughing, but aren't very effective at preventing transmission of airborne germs. I lived in Japan for a while and the plain white ones are pretty prevalent in public places. It is pretty odd at first sight, but I had the idea of marketing designer masks there, especially since the blinged out iPhones were so popular at that time, but never quite got around to doing it.
