My recollection of the last time the Boiler Block Party traveled to Madison was a bunch of rather beefy gentlemen wearing neckties around their foreheads, chanting "Boiler UP!" I'm sure they got fine grades.
My point was simply that the Block Party will not intimidate the Badgers.

Serving to Carlini ? Did I miss the joke ? I haven't noticed that. LC is typically screened out of serve receive. They do hit to her, though. A lot. But again, we're not really out of system because LC just passes to Court. It makes sense that they screen her...but i could swear she has had to serve receive some, not much, especially on some short serves. But she hits to Thomas. Maybe I'm misremembering the fact that they hit to her a lot, which is essentially the same thing.

Maybe I'm misremembering the fact that they hit to her a lot, which is essentially the same thing. If it's a super short serve, e.g., one that gets caught up in the tape and drops in front of her, LC absolutely will dive for it - especially if nobody else is in a position to get it. But that's a rare situation. They do try to hit at her a lot. And she does cover the block in our defensive scheme, which is more than fine because of Court's setting ability. But hitting at a team's setter and forcing her to take the first touch is a pretty solid way of getting them out of system, so it's not a novel thing.

I'm thinking of the short serves. Of course, any short serve messes up Wisconsin, just on communications alone. "Are you getting it? Am I getting it? Oh crap it's going to drop." Proceeded by a crazy Serve Receive by probably Morey.

I'm already getting sick from this camera operator. You don't need to keep the ball centered in the shot the whole time.
