So do we all agree that this should be a fairly easy road match for the Gophers? I was encouraged by last week's match against Iowa. Still amazed by how much Rosado has grown as a player (libero) in the past few weeks. What a player!

Minnesota has not won on the road yet. I'm not sure we can call any of them easy or gimmees, other than Maryland.
They NEED to win this one, obviously. And the Michigan matches may determine whether they make the NCAAs.

Indiana played great last Saturday at Northwestern. This will be closer than many of you anticipate.

Talking with some people last weekend about the 2004 team and the "Three Amigos" - Gentil, Peniata, and Reinhart. I think that Rosado and Goehner have a chance to control the back row like those three did.

The thing about that team is that they also had two setters, Bowman and Taatjes, who played great defense -- and a pretty effective block in front of them.

25-18 Gophers in g1. Only one hitting error -- Santana was blocked, late in the game.
Paige Tapp and Wilhite with 5 kills each (Paige is 5 for 5).

Nora looks good hitting that two ball out of the middle.
MN takes set 1, -18.

Paige was $$ in the first set. 5 kills on 5 attempts, and leads the team in DIGS right now. Schau's setting hasn't been very good and neither has the team's passing (if we are looking through a critical lens) though. Overall a decently played set.
25-18

Nora looks good hitting that two ball out of the middle. MN takes set 1, -18. Ditto. She's looked quite comfortable from the middle so far. Had about 3 kills from the middle in Set 1.

Wilhite is way too timid on her attacks. Consequently, she's getting no results

Schau is injured, according to the Gopher live blog. Any insight as to how that happened or how bad it looked?
