Lee Maes is available to return. Think he'd leave Louisville for this spot? hasn't been at Louisville for at least 4 months. He's currently in SoCal, working with a club.

Here are some thoughts, and these are just names I'm throwing out with no knowledge of personal interest or their individual situations:
- Tom Mendoza, Associate HC at Creighton - Anders Nelson, AC at Kentucky - Jon Newman-Gonchar, AC at Iowa State - JT Wenger, Associate HC at Colorado - Ben Boldt, former Husker assistant recently hired as AC at Iowa Western - Joe Trinsey, Technical Coordinator, US Women's National Team - Alyssa D'Errico, whatever she wants to be, Louisville
What about young head coaches in the mid-major range? Where is Cook most likely to draw from?

Very interesting indeed. So let's start the rumors as to who replaces him. Any thoughts? Rumor mill has Cook talking to some some assistants from the men's side. Seems to be the direction that a good number of programs are going.

Very, very interesting. Good luck, Dan. How so? Probably just because you'd think he'd leave for a better job than that. I'm sure it works for him, but previous assistants have left for better jobs.

Probably just because you'd think he'd leave for a better job than that. I'm sure it works for him, but previous assistants have left for better jobs. This was exactly what he was looking for. A pay cut? EADA Report shows the average FTE salary for a women's assistant at Nebraska is $86,805, and the FTE for a women's head coach at Augustana is $40,074. (Because of the "Cubs fan" comment I thought we were talking about D3 Augustana in Illinois. D2 Augustana in South Dakota averages $52k for a head coach but some of the volleyball teams in that conference are in the 6 figure range so the pay here may be more competitive with Nebraska assistant) www.kdlt.com/sports/dan-meske-named-head-volleyball-coach-at-augustana/32943922"Meske recently completed his eighth season as an assistant at the University of Nebraska where she spent the last five seasons as a full-time assistant." It seems Augustana was impressed with the idea of a FT assistant, and a little confused about Dan's gender.

I can only imagine the quality of life for him and the extra time with his wife and son will make up for any assumed gap in pay!
