Hey Dorothy, you know anyone with a lot of Olympic ties that might want a gig like that? I can't think of one off the top of my head? Domino.........(say it like Geronimo!)

Didn't hear about Beal..he just retiring ? This job is a CEO non-coaching job, so any current coach up for his job would be abandoning coaching. Wouldn't someone like Tom Pingel or the like be a more likely replacement ?

Again those are base salaries. Great and well deserved contract for Hilbert, but he wouldnt be the 4th highest paid coach. Big props to CSU for recognizing his value. Well if we are counting bonuses, Christy Johnson Lynch has $200k per with a $100k longevity bonus due to her at some point this offseason if she stays put, so iowa St. would be higher in the best paid ranking this year.

A way out if the box pick with excellent administative and inernational experiece would be Bob Gamberdella.

Western Ill. already reaching out to potential candidates at convention. Impressive that they're moving this quick - could be a positive sign of things to come for WIU.

I'm struggling to come up with more than a tiny handful of current college coaches who wouldn't immediately be in over their head as USAV CEO.

I think Pingel is the choice, don't know many other VB people who could step in.

I think Tom is the obvious choice, but given the current political dynamics of the board who knows what direction they'll go.

What experience did Beal have running a business prior to running USA Volleyball ?
