Baylor Volleyball’s Offense Carries Bears to Four-Set Win at Texas Tech
Bears hit .261 and four BU players record double-digit kills

LUBBOCK, Texas – Baylor hit .261, had four players with double-digit kills and three with double-doubles in the Bears’ win over Texas Tech at United Supermarkets Arena. Andie Malloy had a career-high 24 kills and 15 digs to lead BU to a 25-17, 31-29, 23-25, 25-23 win, which was the Bears’ second-straight.
Baylor’s (13-11, 3-6) Malloy picked up her 14th double-double of the season, Amy Rosenbaum posted her sixth and Thea Munch-Soegaard had her second in as many matches to lead the Bears. Rosenbaum’s 57 assists helped the Bears to their highest hitting percentage this season against a Big 12 opponent, and she added 11 digs.
Texas Tech (15-6, 3-6) hit .190 in the loss an tallied 13.5 blocks, but couldn’t overcome the strong offensive effort of the Bears. In the loss, Lauren Doglass and Jenna Allen had 16 kills apiece for TTU.
After a convincing win in set one, Baylor trailed 24-21 in set two before battling back and eventually wearing down the Red Raiders in set two. The Bears could not overcome a 6-0 hole to start the third set but rebounded in the fourth set to hit .319 to close out the match.
HIGHLIGHTS
Andie Malloy had a career-high 24 kills (.358) and added 15 digs for her 14th double-double of the season.
Thea Munch-Soegaard had her second-straight and second double-double of the season with 12 kills and 13 digs.
Nicole Bardaji added 12 kills and four digs for Baylor.
Adrien Richburg had 11 kills on a .440 hitting percentage without an attacking error to go along with five blocks for the Bears.
Amy Rosenbaum’s 57 assists marked the seventh time this season that she passed the 50-assists mark. Her 11 digs gave her five double-doubles on the season.
Jana Brusek had a career-high 28 digs and Ashley Myer reach double-digit digs with 13.
