To get a sense of how often elite players are transferring, I looked at the Senior Aces for the class of 2011. A full 25 of them didn't finish 4 years at their original schools. 4 of the Top 10 recruits included. Of those 25, 19 transferred and 6 went sand-only or just plain quit. The Senior Aces for the Class of 2012 (graduating this Fall) is even further behind, with 27 of 99 already having moved on (99 because Mitchem's transfer from JuCo doesn't really count). Again, 4 of the Top 10 have left their original teams. 7 of the 27 were sand-only or quitters. Senior Aces for 2013 are already at 20. 2014 is at 7 so far, I think. Those numbers really are way higher than I was thinking. 1 out of every 4-5 of the very top players are "moving on". This is why it's important to form good relationships with all of your recruits. The chances of them transferring from their original school are increasing so they may end up with you.

Taylr McNeil to Iowa from S.C. Wow. Wow, indeed. And Allie Monserrez from to Florida from SC. Things don't seem to be looking good for Swanson in Columbia. But it's very strange that Taylr's younger sister just committed to the Gamecocks this year. Maybe Taylr just wanted to be closer to home, and having her sisters nearby wasn't enough?

And the Monserrez who transferred from SC to FL is a 5'9" setter, but I seriously doubt she can threaten D'Agostino's playing time.

But it seems she went to NI which would make more sense as Florida already had two setters. The real question is what is going on at South Carolina?

Taylr McNeil: from South Carolina to Iowa Maddie McNeil: from South Carolina to Northern Iowa Allie Monserrez: from South Carolina to Florida I think we may have confused Maddie and Allie at some point. Your question certainly remains valid.

Dagostino is a senior in 2015. Unless I'm missing something, doesn't that eliminate any competition for PT between the two since Monserez will be an in-conference transfer and have to sit the 2015 season?

Does anyone by any chance know where Niki Withers from Cal State Fullerton is headed?

She's a really competitive player and that isn't afraid to be pushed. Works well with others and she's very encouraging as well as positive. Knows that team chemistry is a huge factor in success. Mom is a coach and played the game. Jessica has been playing since she was four years old.
