I've been watching BYU/San Diego tonight and it's difficult not to notice 6'7 Jennifer Hamson. That got me to thinking of what a lineup would look like with all of the tallest NCAA DI players on one team. I've started with Hamson and Lutz but since I don't know players that well I thought I'd see what VT could come up with. I set it up below as a 6-2 but that's not really significant. Just please include team and height.
OH- OH- MB- Merete Lutz, Stanford, 6'8 MB- OPP- Jennifer Hamson, BYU, 6'7 OPP- S- S- L-

L - Manute Bol, Golden State Warriors, 7'7" As long as he doesn't shoot any 3's. His long reach would hoover up balls ... don't know about reaction time though

For entertainment purposes, the libero on this fantasy team should be the SHORTEST D1 player. Doesn't Kansas have a 4-foot libero?

She requested to be listed at 6'6," but she's a legit 6'8." If it wasn't for their setter, Arizona could throw out quite possibly the tallest (and slowest) lineup in D1

L - Manute Bol, Golden State Warriors, 7'7" As long as he doesn't shoot any 3's. You may already know this, but he wasn't terrible at shooting them. He played a couple years for the Golden State Warriors and hit almost 30 three-pointers.

He had that one game where he hit something like seven 3's in one half. BTW, have you heard about his son, Bol Bol? He's only 6'10" (right now), 14 years old, and can actually handle the ball.

I was at a lot of those games in Oakland. Percentage-wise, Manute was a terrible three point shooter. But it was entertaining as hell when he actually made one. I just read something about his son - a high school freshman in Kansas who apparently is a five star college prospect.
