Whos a senior at SC? Young? Scherer? Young team, something rarely mentioned. You forgot Crone, which is understandable since she's practically invisible due to being so deeply in Mick's doghouse. No Crone or Gillis, but results are still the same.

The great P. Hal Sims, a tyrannical (and sexist) hustler-of-all-trades (e.g., bridge, golf, billiards, skeet shooting) of the 1930's, would only let women partners bid minor suits in bridge so he would declare (almost) all the hands his partnership played. Sometimes, I wonder if Coach Haley will only let his middles play defense so his hitters would be set for all the attempts.

Oh, I get it... this is a game of "Concentration" and that's the rebus.
Does that make you Hugh Downs, hammer? [Boy, am I giving away my age. Many people on this board only remember him... if they do... from 20/20, the last of his commercial network gigs. He is 93 years old and he and his wife celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary earlier this year.]

Me thinks hammer is done with "moon ball" volleyball, and would like to see some slightly speedier play from USC...

You set what your hitters want. Not always. Sometimes you need to challenge your hitters to learn to hit something else.
