Do Hawai`i and Southern cal host 1st rounds? Have to be seeded to host, so they would head to Eugene. Question: Can this thread be centrally updated with tournament/conference champion actual results?

FYI, I made a thread with only conference tourney info with no intermixed commentary so it's a little easier on the eyes. I can continue to update it, or I can let it slide into the depths of VolleyTalk, just let me know. volleytalk.net/thread/56371/conference-championship-stop-shop

I am not so good for updating on the weekends... I'm only including future scheduled games and not current conference tournaments results.. Better to have double information than no information, I think your thread is easier to read and is focused solely on Conference Tournaments, so please continue to update!

Update for the only conference I didn't update: WAC - Utah Valley had four straight match points leading 14-10 against Seattle, but Seattle wins five straight to lead 15-14 and get match point of their own. Then they have a servide error on their match point! It takes Seattle four match points to convert but they finally did and won 19-17 over UVU.
Seattle now plays #1 UMKC

Not sure I could put Illinois and Oregon in front of Penn State. If Florida loses to Texas, or even if they win, Florida still has the loss to Marquette, and the SC win doesn't look so big, nor San Diego. Oregon has lost a number of matches to top 25 teams, Penn State 3. Illinois the same deal. North Carolina and Florida State look a bit better on the top end of the Nitty Gritty sheets, but will the Committee put them higher and risk a Stanford below Missouri/Florida scenario again?

Using the methodology described in my post yesterday, here is a bracket projection. Teams with (T) behind their name are traveling more than 400 miles. I used the NCAA calculator to check some of the mileage figures and now show a total of 23 teams in this group. That number is still in line with the average we have seen over the past 5-7 years. Louisville Region1 Stanford vs. New Hampshire (T) CSUN vs. Santa Clara 16 Kentucky vs. Murray State Ohio State vs. Lipscomb 8 Oregon vs. Hofstra (T) Hawaii (T) vs. Oklahoma (T) 9 Illinois vs. Oakland Western Kentucky vs. Illinois State Seattle Region4 Washington vs. Idaho State (T) Pacific (T) vs. LSU (T) 13 Colorado State vs. Denver Colorado vs. BYU (T) 5 North Carolina vs. Hampton Arizona State (T) vs. Loyola Marymount (T) 12 Arizona vs. American (T) San Diego (T) vs. LBSU (T) Ames Region2 Texas vs. Stephen F. Austin Texas A&M vs. Purdue (T) 15 Iowa State vs. Harvard (T) Creighton vs. UCLA (T) 7 Florida vs. Alabama State UCF vs. Miami (FL) 10 Penn State vs. Dayton LIU-Brooklyn vs. Ohio Minneapolis Region3 Florida State vs. Samford Alabama vs. Utah (T) 14 Nebraska vs. Radford (T) Kansas State vs. Oregon State (T) 6 Wisconsin vs. Marist (T) Marquette vs. Duke (T) 11 Kansas vs. UMKC UALR (T) vs. USC (T) Slowly but surely this bracket is falling apart. UMKC just got beat by Seattle. Yale beat Harvard. Oregon State beat USC and really put the pressure on the Trojans to be .500. Kansas doesn't look like they will host due to basketball being played in Allen Fieldhouse that weekend. I'm sure there will be some more surprises by the end of next week.

Kansas doesn't look like they will host due to basketball being played in Allen Fieldhouse that weekend. San Diego and Duke both had to work around basketball games in their volleyball arenas last year, but still managed to host. Unless you have reason to believe that Kansas didn't even submit a bid, I wouldn't assume that they won't be able to make it work if the committee deems the Jayhawks worthy of a seed.

Jacksonville beats Lipscomb in 4 to earn the automatic bid for the ASUN.
What will happen to Lipscomb now?

Lipscomb has 1 good win (Kansas) and 3 sub-100 losses (Jacksonville, Northern Kentucky, and Georgia Tech)'
Also has H2H losses against bubble teams (Utah & WKU) and an outside-the-bubble team (Xavier).
Kansas will get a seed, but IMO it will not be enough. St. Mary's had a win that was just as good last year, as well as a better rest of profile, but the 3 sub-100 left them on the sidelines. Based on that, I say OUT

Will now need to consider Lipscom in at-large discussion. They lost in conference tournament final.
