Are matches on BTN Plus archived so that you can watch them later?
Assuming I now want to pay money to watch a replay of the this match, 1) will it be available? and 2) when will it be available?

Whew...that was a tough fight. Three sets could have gone either way. Illinois defense much better than when we played them earlier. We were out of system a lot in the last three sets. Carlini was often running around a bit.
This match felt a lot like the one in Champaign. Big difference from that match is the block. UW outblocked IL 10-7.

Usually the matches are available within 15 minutes after ending...

Bates had 17 kills but only hit .160 because of errors. She was the one who got blocked most.
Morey with 25 digs. Morales with a career high 19! I thought she played well, despite some miscommunication with Bates at the end.
Thomas hit 0.417, Nelson hit 0.545, both with 10 kills. Six blocks for Nelson. Carlini with 7 kills hitting .389. Chapman with 10 kills hitting 0.184.
Birks hit .211 with 20 kills. McMahon with 12 kills but hitting only 0.082. Donnelly with 22 digs. Birks with 16.

If memory serves, the NCAA matches after the opening rounds were tough like this one. We all need to be prepared emotionally!
Now on to Columbus.

Not so fast...Ohio State and Purdue before that is done. But this Illinois team really is quite tough.
One interesting stat. Illinois used 14 players. Badgers only 9.

I have control of the horizontal. I have control of the vertical. And I have control of the sound.
The announcers can't be THAT bad, can they? Don't answer that question, I could barely stand listening to the announcers in the dark ages of two weeks ago when BTN actually broadcast a VB game.

Ok, let's collect my thoughts. Wow.
As was stated earlier, Bates got stuffed a lot from the left. But LC just kept setting it to her, forcing her to try other shots. Incidentally, LC got her left hand taped after her crazy dig near the scorer's table - hope she's ok.
Morales was absolutely awesome. This was the best defensive match of her career, not just because she career high digs, but her digs came at absolutely critical moments. Morey was also absolutely awesome on defense and serving. How many points in a row did we get off her serve between set 3 and 4? 12?
Thompson had some critical shots, but I didn't think the connection was there all night and she had to make a lot of adjustments.
Chapman was also solid and Thomas and Nelson were on fire.
Finally, absolutely props to Brandi Donnelly and the rest of the Illini defense, which was spectacular. Birks was great, and would have been even greater had the Badgers defense been off. I
So, when the Badgers were down 16-23 I kept thinking - it's just like Purdue, it's just like Purdue, it's just like Purdue. It must have worked!
In set 4, I had to leave the stands and watch from the concourse once they got to deuce set. But I survived.
Now, deep breath Badgers, do some yoga to steady yourselves, and on to tough Ohio State, who had a pretty easy night tonight.

Haven't heard Wisconsin's announcers since 2011. I'm sure they've changed since. Michigan's were pretty good. They had a fair understanding of the game.

Okay, everyone talking about a B1G title needs to hush, right now. We do not tempt fate. They still have to get through Ohio State with a healthy Sandbothe, and a Purdue team with a thirst for blood. And a trip to Jersey in there, too, just to break up the monotony.
So proud of our players for sticking together and playing for each other. Coming back from a 7 point deficit so late in the set to win. This is the kind of adversity they need practice with if they're gonna make a deep tourney run.
And Illinois: Well played, most worthy adversaries. Birks had 20 kills, and Donnelly must've had a million digs. Girl was all over the floor. The 5-1 with Villunas setting makes a world of difference.
