Considering all factors and how some of these teams are playing or match up against your favorite team, who do you want to avoid if possible until the Finals. Not sure if I can add anyone....but I will if I missed a contender. No offense intended If you want to offer reasons why....please do. Taking a break from the snow event.....unreal!!

My ideal bracket would have the team I favor getting a bye all the way to the final.

Stanford, they are the toughest team PSU will or could face. No guarantee they will face one another.

This poll is terrible cause it is full of title contenders. No team should want to see any of these teams on their side of the bracket cause they all could win the title with the exception of FSU and UNC no disrespect meant I just dont see it happening but would love to be proven wrong. Is this a thread to make Penn State fans feel better about their teams chances to win the title. Everyone doesn't want to play Penn State cause they have the biggest x-factor in Women's College Volleyball in Micha Hancock and that serve if she is on she can impact a match. I certainly don't think Stanford fears Penn State and wouldn't care if they faced them again. Also I think Washington would love to face Penn State in a regional final at home to prove themselves after that massive melt down last year in the FF. I think Penn State should not want to be put in a regional with Washington they match up very well. I would have to favor Washington at home. Also another match up I think would be disaster would be Wisconsin and Stanford for the Badgers. I think these are the two teams that play some of the best floor defense but edge goes to Stanford as they have the better hitters. Alternatively Texas should be wary or facing a team with great floor defense like Wisconsin and Stanford I think they would really make Texas look mediocre. The tournament is a lot about match ups. What I was hoping this thread was gonna be about was which floater teams that possibly unseeded would you not want to see. In regards to that I am saying UCLA, Colorado, and BYU.

I would add to volleyfan's analysis Illinois and Colorado State and Utah.
the only one on the list that belongs is North Carolina. The others I say, "well duh!"

Of the PAC teams Oregon could be difficult as they run a very fast offense, have lots of hitters and a good 6-2.

If they're on, nebraska. When all things are going right, nebraska is scary good. But they're wildly inconsistent

Of the PAC teams Oregon could be difficult as they run a very fast offense, have lots of hitters and a good 6-2. +1 Oregon could be a real dark horse of the tournament especially if Liz Brenner becomes the senior player everyone expects her to be. They have enough firepower to topple down the top seeds. And as much as I would like to see a re-match, PSU is a dangerous opponent come tournament time.

Penn State because they are consistently good when it matters. There are other talented teams out there but Penn State is the only team worthy of being feared in the NCAA's.

Penn State, Stanford hasn't been to the final four in years for a reason.

Washington. I think they will bounce back from their really bad weekend and get back on track. Still a very good team, and, if you are a seeded team, you would be playing all these other teams at a neutral site. With Washington, you would be on their home floor.

This is a good point, although that didn't go so well, even with 10,000 people cheering for them last year. Stanford and PSU just present more match up problems than anyone else and with the amount of sets that Vansant is getting it it reminds me of Nebraska (Robinson) last year.(twice as many kills as next closest teammate) Relying on 1 cannon can only get you so far....most of the time. Both Stanford and PSU I would think are concerning, with PSU having the slight edge for the reason that some posters have mentioned above.
