23-11. Yawn. The other Pac-12 matches are a little more entertaining if you aren't looking for a blowout.

That was ugly for the Buffs.

Every Stanford player got to play. Very nice 3 for 3 from McGehee! I wish Vanjack had come in earlier because I want to see more of what Dunning saw in her We have seen virtually nothing of her except for in the Eastern Washington match and she didn't have a good showing. Otherwise, when she does come in it's at the very end of a set, with little to no attempts. Such a nice match for Burgess! School history was made. Now on to the conference match of the season.

This was senior night, right? Dunning usually starts all the seniors at the beginning of the match. This year it worked out for Stanford fans because the two seniors would have started anyway.

Pretty clean performance by Stanford. Card hit .353 45-9-102. Of the 9 hitting errors, only 5 were unforced. Also, only 2 reception errors by the Card. They came at 16-5 and 22-10 in the 3rd. Burgess hit .542 13-0-24

Stanford's floor defense was tremendous tonight ... balls just were not dropping on their side, and CU's passing and floor D were a mess. Burgess had one of her best matches of the season with great floor D, solid hitting, and an extremely long serving run in set 3. Gilbert had the dig of the year IMO using her foot to dig a ball while flat on her stomach. Congrats to the 2014 Stanford team for breaking the 1991 team's 27-0 start.

Big Congratulations to the 2014 Stanford team for a remarkable 28-straight victories. All they have to do now is beat at least one of either Washington or California to clinch the Pac 12 crown.

They have already clinched a share of the Pac-12, at least.
On a side note: my wife and I were trying to figure out what the symbol(s) on the Dollie's skirts were. Most of them had what vaguely looked like a stylized horn (brass instrument), but that didn't seem quite right. And one of the skirts appeared to have a different symbol, but I didn't get a good look.
(If you weren't there: the Dollies were wearing outfits I Had never seen before: sort of poodle skirts (though shorter) and letter sweaters.)

The symbol is the band logo (look up their facebook page). Not sure if it's a horn or tuba. The dollies always dress up for the Big Game. Today I guess their theme was nerdy cheerleaders from the 50's.

Although it was a blowout, I thought it was a very entertaining match. Great energy out there. The Card delighted their fans with inspired play, great saves on defense. For once they never let down. Definitely an enjoyable match to watch. The recruits seemed to like it was well.

Very efficient woman handling of the buffs. My only real concern was inconsistent set locations for both middles. Maddie made some athletic moves but was not as solid as she has been also to Morgan.
