Major kudos to Coach Myers and the Bodacious 'Birds. What a run! First MVC regular season title since 1997. Join perennial MVC powers Northern Iowa and Wichita State in accomplishing undefeated MVC regular season 18-0. 20 consecutive victories having not lost since Sept.12th. Matched program's second-longest winning streak with the win, and are just three wins away from matching the longest winning streak in program history: goredbirds.com/news/2014/11/22/WVB_1122143409.aspx?path=wvball

Are they going to win it all? No but they could shock some people and make it to the sweet 16...

For that to happen, it would help if Iowa State got a gift seed by hosting a regional or they got sent to Kentucky, which is in the 400 mile range, rather than Illinois or Wisconsin.

MVC watchers like to say that the conference is down this year. I believe what they should be saying is that Northern Iowa and Wichita State are not as good as usual. I have posted this before, but I wonder if Northern Iowa will ever be as formidable as they have been now that the University of Iowa has a strong recruiter as coach.
As I have posted before Illinois State owns a victory this season over Ohio State, and also took Oregon to 5 games at Oregon. This team is obviously worthy of all that they have accomplished, and their season should not be belittled!

This team has exorcised a lot of program demons, and I have confidence that they can do it again.
