I don't think USC deserves to reach the tourney, at 15-15, or 16-14. They have too many losses and they haven't looked very good. Arizona really took a dump today. Rubio has never impressed me as a coach, with his Al Pacino/Any Given Sunday/Tony D'Amato wardrobe. I wonder what you think of Illinois getting a SEED last year, with 14 losses. At some point you have to say, ok, SOS is the best in the country, you are in if all the other requirements are met. USC could have easily have a few more wins if they substituted some of their preseason matches for cupcakes. USC has just 1 loss to a non tournament team, Cal.....that's a lot better than some of the other teams wanting an At-Large.

23 of USC's 30 opponents are NcaA-tournament teams. They beat 9 of those teams. NINE. If they beat UCLA it's 10.
Scheduling teams like Pacific, UALR, Creighton, Wisconsin, was a GREAT decision by Haley.

Just like Illinois last year, though, he almost scheduled too hard. Losing to Cal was the big mistake that almost cost them the tournament.

Congrats to SC I certainly think they are tournament worthy. They have taken some hits this season and they will be better next year but they have earned it. The tough schedule paid off. I would also like to point out the vast majority people voted they wouldn't make the tourney.

I like making match predictions. None of us are perfect but no one really believed in SC. Who knows they could even beat UCLA that would really be something?
