Of course it will depend on the draw, but based on talent and their performance so far, how far can Florida go in the NCAA tourney? I'm a n00b to women's vball, but they seem dominant and don't get the respect they deserve imo

someone had to make this thread didnt they? All im going to say is this: I think it will depend on the senior defensive and passing specialists. If they play the best matches of their careers in the tournament I think we have a good shot to go past a regional final. But i think there are many good teams that don't win championships or advance to far though, just the way it is.

I don't know, but this post of yours along with your 1st post on VT about the Stanford / Washington match not being televised indicates to me you are more of a boob than a noob. But that's just me! Looking forward to your 3rd post!

I think FL is very good and if they get hot they could make the FF. However, I think they need a couple of their OH's to step up. I've seen them 4 times on tv this year and each time it's been a revolving door at OH.

I think they'll lose to the first legit team they play, prob sweet 16. They just don't have an elite libero or OH's; setting is shakey at times

people are underestimating this florida team.
I think they're going to surprise a lot of people and make it pretty darn far. my guess is they have a great shot at making it to the final four.

We will see when they play Texas how good they are outside of the SEC. Lost to Texas and Florida State early in year. By running a three person rotation on the outside they will need which two they go with the have outstanding matches against high quality teams. That IMO means Mallette and Snyder, but none of the three with Recek put up great numbers back to back matches which is what they will need by at least the third round depending upon the draw.
also I don't think you can predict how far this team will go in the NCAAs without knowing the draw at all.

Very good team. Alhassan is the real deal and I like Holston a lot. I agree with southie, the upcoming Texas match will be a great gauge.

For the first time in years I feel confident that this team will make it past the Sweet 16 and has a chance to upset a team or two. Some people have criticized Holly Pole as libero but I think she has done a world of good in stabilizing the back row, which has been a weakness for a while now. The recent run of service errors has me worried but they have the ability to clean that up.

I think this team is legitimate. Have great athletes and are a really tough serving team. I think they give Texas everything they can handle and possibly beat them. A very smart scheduling decision by both coaches, as their leagues do not prepare them for the tournament in the way the Big and Pac do.

Very serious. Why would anyone say Team X is a final four team without knowing the tourney draw. NCAA tourney will be after the first round all about matchups.
Where do they finish in your mind if in a bracket with stanford wisconsin and colorado state for instance?
Edit. fyi I really like Florida if one of the outsides is on of the two and everyone else is on then they are a top ten team in my opinion. Just how far they go is dependant upon the draw

Same crap, different season. They won't go very far in the tournament.

UF will probably have Miami/UCF and maybe JAX. FSU will get JAX if UF doesn't, maybe Alabama. Miami UF could be interesting.
