How do these two match up the second time around? In Lincoln, the Illini took it 3-1, and the score in points was 98-94. Last week, Illinois took Wisconsin into extra-pts in 3 straight sets, eventually losing it in 4. Nebraska has been on an upswing, and are currently on an 8-match win streak. Their most recent win was against Michigan, accented by 30 BA's from the Huskers. Illinois' offense is Birks/Criswell/McMahon on the pins, along with Stadick/Dorn in the middle. Last time against the Huskers, it was the Criswell and Birks show. For Illinois, how important will it be to get Criswell going again? Can Birks and Stadick carry most the load? For Nebraska, how important is it to have more offense from the middles? How will Haggerty/Hall/A. Rolfzen match up against Birks? any Illinois fans (other than Priddy) have any insight into what type of student section turn out Illinois will have given they are on break? Big part of what makes the so tough, on top of having really good players and coach.

This is definitely a tough prediction. These are two of the most consistently inconsistent teams in the country. It really could go either way. What upsets me is that both Illinois and Nebraska have shown flashes of greatness and could win a national championship but don't play good enough volleyball for long enough stretches to really challenge for the NC?

Well they may be the most inconsistent top ten teams, but they have been consistent enough to have very good records in a league where you have to be pretty good on a night to night basis. Won't be surprised by any outcome other than Nebraska winning convincingly.

Well I don't know what your definition of stretches is, but we (Neb) haven't lost in November, we're going on 4th week. So I took Neb in 3. I will repeat and probably repeat again FEIN IS ON FIRE and has yet to burn out. This girl is on a mission and leading the team without even knowing the latter.

You Husker fans are way too sensitive. Lets face the facts the league isn't what it was last year. It is not a nightly battle and the best win they have in this stretch is Purdue and they were experimenting with their line up at the time. I am also concerned that they dropped a set at home no less to Maryland. Nebraska is a good team but they certainly don't look great now if they win both Illinois and Penn State then I will be convinced.

I'm wondering how much time Criswell gets in this match. I gathered that she has an injured left knee, sat out against Rutgers (11/16) and Indiana (11/22), and played 1.5 sets against Wisconsin (11/19) and was replaced by Strizak. She looked rather cautious against Wisconsin.

She wasn't herself against the badgers. Tried to contribute but really couldn't.
