Yeah I have to agree with that assessment, but coaches often rank based more on what's happened recently. The ranking concerns me less than the draw.

In the end, the point is to make the team better while still winning matches. Last night the team eventually learned to play effectively with a new setter. That lesson can be nothing but good, losing a set doesn't matter much by comparison.
I'm just sad that Erin couldn't play out the match. Seems a cruel turn.

Shows how important Carlini is to this team. Earlier this week when NE Coach John Cook was asked whom he thought would be the B1G POY: He listed 3; Hancock, Carlini, and Thomas. He said something like Courtney Thomas was the best 'all around' skilled volleyball player in the B1G.

Why not have Thomas set wasn't she the teams old setter and seems to still be very comfortable setting? In any case this to me shows that Carlini is the best setter in the country. Dropping a set to Rutgers is a mess. A healthy Carlini keeps this team in the conversation for a NC, without her not likely. Thomas is now too important as a hitter. In this match, for example, she is the person who really took control of the game by finishing aggressively and lethally from RS and Backrow. I guess they could have brought in Jules as RS, but that would be two major changes. One was enough!

Not a great week for Badger broadcasts. We have now lost the women's basketball game from the Bahamas. They were decently close to South Carolina through about 14 minutes.

So I was trying to make an anagram of Courtney Thomas into a sentence explaining her importance to the team.
And while I could come up with "team" and "score" I couldn't come up with a 14 letter sentence that made sense, even if we cheated a little.
"You roc team..." but then we still have t n h s
