everyone needs to quit whining and have faith that whoever we field the floor with during the Olympics will do their best and get us the best finish we can muster. I know we all have favorite players but theirs only so many spots on the roster, the coaches have to grapple with all this even harder than we have to do.

Yeah you want them to grapple to keep the one Gator alum over two players substantially better than her. Damn hypocrite.

It's not set in stone, she might not be there in Rio or she might, it's not up to us. You have to admit she has been given an excellent opportunity and is making the most of it, you come across as really bitter, you know that?

It's quite sad for the sport, when the best players are removed from the team because of a coach's ego problem. It's so sad that Karch just coached the team to its first ever gold medal in WC. He must not know what he's doing.

What's hilarious is that you're telling everyone to stop whining because players they like were kicked off the team, but you whine just as badly (maybe worse) when your favorite player gets taken out on the DOUBLE SUB.

This match is probably not helping your argument much. Partizan is putting a team on the court that is younger than most NCAA teams (they started a 16yo, a 17yo and a bunch of 20-21yo). Partizan is basically a bunch of students who aren't either old enough or good enough to be sold to a good team. One would think that Cannes would completely dominate this match, not squeak by in 5 sets. I haven't watched the match yet. One player does not make a team. She doesn't play great in this match. She hasn't been the leading scorer on Cannes once this season which is concerning to me (Faucette frequently is). Also whoever said Larson broke down in London... She had one poor match, which just so happened to be the Gold Medal match. She was strangely off her game at the Grand Prix and in Italy, but has been playing consistently well in Turkey and you can't forget about her season in Kazan. Those tournaments are also brutal. I think it would definitely be Logan and Larson.

The opposite should always be the leading scorer.

Faucette is the leading scorer but they do go to her A LOT MORE, and she also gets blocked more, Logan is not getting too many attempts but makes the most of what is given to her.

In general i'm not a big fan of the double sub, I prefer to keep the starting setter on the floor and let her do her thing. I was glad it started working later in the tournament at least though cuz before it was kinda meh...

Seems like Hooker is back on top form. Well, this is in Korea by the way where the block most of the time is inexistent.

Wow, I was expecting some small drop off, not an improvement. The best female opposite in history and best American hitter of all time who hasn't reached her peak yet isn't on our NT.
I can dream one day the current Karch rejects can assemble and challenge his A team to a match, the American flag can be raised upside down during the national anthem.
