For all who think Logan Tom doesn't still have it. She is a scary competitor. Please, Karch, let her come back!!! That match is a very poor example, since the opposing team was a bunch of kids. It's like watching a group of high-level pros against an average NCAA team. And Cannes was actually pretty awful that night.

If you have been watching Cannes play this season, more than just one match,Tom is having just an ok season and nothing spectacular. So I wouldn't judge her quite yet on taking a spot on the national team.

Willoughby is not currently at the level to make our team better. We should give Hodge the benefit of the doubt and assume she would get back to previous form, which would be terminal enough for a roster spot. Only joking about Willoughby, but serious about Hodge. Hodge is just another Koshelva or Sonsirma: great terminator, horrible passer. Don't get me wrong, some teams would kill to have a player like Hodge, but USA relies too much on speed, accelerated by solid passing, to have her on the floor. It's striking how deep Team USA's bench will be in the quadrennial to come. If only we had a domestic league with enthusiastic support from national media, advertisers, etc.... Hodge another Sonsirma??? hahahahaha You are not serious right? Gozde is one of the best all around players in the world.. she is a great passer, and a pretty hard hitter too.. Those two can not be compared.. Hodge is a great scorer, attacker.. but she can't pass.. Gozde on the other hand is a player who can do everything, but her primary role is to pass

I don't know how much you follow international volleyball but Larson is having a poor season... Larson has been playing great for the US 2011-2012 and has been amazing her last season with Kazan.. Then she injured her ankle and has never been the same for the USA and now for Eczacibasi. In Italy earlier this year she has been struggling offensively, and that was OK but she has been having a lot of problems passing, which wasn't so good. Now in turkey she is doing the same thing.. Not attacking with good %, but also not passing so good..
Logan on the other hand with Cannes has a same role she had with USA NT 2010-2012.. She passing with some good numbers, sometimes she's even passing alone with the libero.. She's defending middle back, right back and left back! And in the last couple of matches she's hitting with good %, but what's more important she's scoring crucial points.. You can all watch the match with Vakifbank they won in CL.. She doesn't have great attacking %, but hasn't been blocked or made an error in crucial times and has scored the most important points..

It's quite sad for the sport, when the best players are removed from the team because of a coach's ego problem. How can we get you to stop posting things on the internet?

tvf.org.tr/icerik/208/ - Larson with Eczacibasi datavolley.lnv.fr/2014/DataVolley/Women/&LAF053-1415.pdf - Logan with Cannes Here are some stats from their matches they played today. Cannes played 4th ranked Mulhouse and Logan was their best scorer with 14 points. 14/21 attack which makes 67%. She received 17 times 71% positive and 47% perfect reception. No blocks or aces. Eczacibasi played 9th ranked Bursa and Jordan scored 6 points. 5/14 attack with 36%. Received only 8 times 63% positive and 50% perfect reception. She has one ace with no service errors.

Wow, I was expecting some small drop off, not an improvement. The best female opposite in history and best American hitter of all time who hasn't reached her peak yet isn't on our NT. I can dream one day the current Karch rejects can assemble and challenge his A team to a match, the American flag can be raised upside down during the national anthem. Kokyu, this by far is the greatest post of the year, perhaps all time. I lol'd and am still lol-ing. I said from day one that Hooker would have a prolific career and show the world her athletic prowess. Last quadrennial, she was our bailout in tight situations and best scorer. Teams would camp two blocks on her, especially on important side-outs, freeing up our left-side attack and giving them more one-on-one hitting scenarios. Hooker spanked Kim (arguably the best female player in the world) in the Olympics in two different matches, and outplayed Sheila during pool play, and she should have been set more in the championship match. Kokyu, I know you're not a fan of Shankzilla, but would she be on that roster with Hooker and Tom? Does anyone know what Willoughby is up to these days? You're acknowledging Kokyu as someone with a great insight into what USA volleyball should be doing, and asking his opinion on personnel? If it were up to him Plum would be the setter and we would be firing the ONLY coach in US history to ever win a word title or olympic gold medal.

I think the interesting thing about seeing USA win will be how it effects people like a Logan Tom and a Destinee Hooker. Especially if they got left off the team due to personality conflicts. It tends to humble them and make them more coachable the next time around.
But I guess we'll see as the final recruiting push for Rio isn't that far away.

Seems like Hooker is back on top form. Well, this is in Korea by the way where the block most of the time is inexistent. That kill at 1:20 tho'!

And even then, I take what you say with a grain of salt, as a lot people on here have advised. My response to Kokyu regarded his comment about the "Karch rejects" playing in front of an inverted American flag. Quit trying to police this board; you're such a try-hard, and your fail attempts at being the Volleytalk sheriff make you look desperate for attention and validation.

I saw that Kayla Banwarth was at the Final Four. Is she not playing this season?
