Hello Minnesotans.
I feel a kindred spirit with you (one I hope to experience again only with both teams being neck and neck as historically been the case) given the Badgers struggles from 2008-2012.
I know a couple of you have been discussing that you have invested a lot in Gopher vball (traveling, etc.) and you are not sure you want to keep doing it. I'm here to tell you - keep doing it! There were several times in the last 4 years I debated whether to again renew my season tickets to Badger volleyball only to suffer through the misery of a weak season (of course, it still was only $40, so the investment was low). But I kept doing it, and kept going to matches and cheering them on. I kept traveling to a match or two per year.
When they come back strong year, which they will, you will be so proud of their season and perserverence. It will be a great feeling. I look forward to one day traveling to MSP to a Gopher/Badger matchup (ironically, something I have never done), especially since you guys are so nice!
Also, speaking of young, the Badgers will have 6 freshman next year, 3 of which may start or see significant playing time. So that's yet another young Big Ten team.

Thanks, gobucky. It was a tough year and one that we are not used to having. But, we still love the team (ticket policies, maybe not so much)and will support them.
The last time the team didn't make the tournament was in 1998 and MN made the final four in 2003. Hopefully, history repeats!
As far as traveling goes, I hope to do that again as it is always fun to visit B1G cities and meet other volleyball fans. Because the volleyball community is a great one!

The 2014 schedule was not conducive to travel... I hope that whatever changes they make, they move back to (mostly) Friday/Saturday play, with either both nights on the road, or both at home.
I haven't been a Road Gopher for several years now, but I'd like to do it again. I also have two more B1G schools to visit now, and another that has an arena I haven't seen.

Curious as to who the OH transfer for 2015 is per the D1 transfers thread.

Curious as to who the OH transfer for 2015 is per the D1 transfers thread. I for one think more power is needed on the outside so hopefully this transfer will provide that.

Methinks the schedule will be similar to 2014. Which, as you say, sucks for fans who wish to travel. Stay home and watch on BTN or BTN2GO. That is what they want you to do.

We could really use another explosive, terminating outside. I'm picturing someone along the lines of Kelsey Robinson. (Keep dreaming, lol!)

I don't know much about her. I'm assuming she is looking to transfer? She looks to be a smaller outside, but how is she on the court? That height can still be workable. Speaking of height, just a friendly reminder to gophersports.com that Goehner is still not 5-11, nor will she ever be, and you are not fooling anyone. <end rant>

Had 4.80 k/s, 3.38 d/s, .38 aces/s last year. Those are big numbers. If she wanted to transfer, I do think she'd make an excellent 2nd OH and help the team in 3 different aspects.

If Bailey moved anywhere it would be Iowa not MN. She's is one of Bond's kids and she has a great career running at MU. She is an MU Star.

Per Rich Kern: Toni Alugbue, transfer from Notre Dame. Former All American HM. OH. Missed last year due to ACL?
Seems to be someone who can score. Good news.
