They're talking about Alugbue and Notre Dame. Thanks - had a long day at work yesterday and was thinking ND=North Dakota. Hoo boy.

Saw SSS for the first time tonight. Y'all have a player, right there. Super impressed with both her and Poulter. Excellent to hear. Any specifics that really stuck out about her? The only time I've seen her play is in a couple YouTube videos from a year or two back, both high school games (as opposed to club).

Her and Poulter were easily the top 2 setters there.

Seems crazy you haven't been able to see her play the past 4-5 years or so. She's a super sound setter, makes smart decisions, does everything the correct way. It just comes natural to her! She has ideal height at about 5"11 and is a threat to dump, which we haven't had since 2009. She really connects with the middles well too, which is perfect for the Gophers. And if you guys know her, you know she's one of the nicest kids you'll meet! Fans will like her from day 1. Shes exactly what the Gophers need (besides a terminator on the pins).

Before that I was just too busy with college, work, etc. to really have any free time to devote to it. Anyway, I have heard nothing but good things about her. Very excited to watch the team in spring!

I was just checking out the final stats for the Gophers for 2014 and discovered that Daly is now at 1,060 total kills for her Gopher career. Maybe I slept through it, but was it announced when she hit number 1,000? It's a pretty nice accomplishment for a junior and really just another thing to celebrate in kind of an up-and-down year. She also needs only about 95 more digs to enter the "1,000 dig club," which shouldn't take her too long next fall. Gotta celebrate these things!

Channel 12 cable (Northwest area schools/cities) put out this video of their All Metro Team
The 2017 Minnesota H.S. class defintely has a lot of talent...This list is for the northwest metro schools only.
SSS is in this video. I would think Jasmyn Martin might be deciding on her college here in the next few months???

I think she has had her favorite figured out now for a while here. She should really develop into an outstanding college hitter over the next few years.

Finally got to sit down and watch some extended Swenson video. She is just great. I can tell she is extremely comfortable with the game and being a setter in general. Placement and quality of sets is virtually always phenomenal. She sets beautiful backsets and 31s to the middle. In general, she is almost always able to find the middle, despite a so-so pass, which we may still need from her next fall. I am running out of superlatives here, but she is pushing all the right buttons with me right now. $&@ I am so excited to have her as a Gopher!

I don't think this video was posted anywhere by the Gopher volleyball social networking sites, so it kind of slid under the radar. Here we have the 2014 Gopher VB underclassmen giving quick odes to the graduating seniors, Morgan Bohl and Adrianna Nora.
Nothing earth-shattering here, but it's kind of fun to see the players in a quick pseudo-interview situation.
Nothing will compare to the Ty Sosina interviews, however, particularly this one:
What a gas, sheezus!

Wish they would do more of those type of player interviews! Great stuff!

You don't suppose that's why Steffi left, do you? They didn't offer Sorcery at the U?

Anyone know where Laura Bush is going? I read she was thinking about a club job even before Hebert retired.
