Well this wasn't really the matchup most people were expecting were expecting in Seattle but still could be a great battle.
Both teams seem to be playing their best volleyball right now. Nebraska is coming off a big high from their win over Washington and BYU with the late 4th set stunner against FSU.
Are the Huskers able to continue the high level of play, slow down Hamson, and make it back to the Final Four for the first time since 2008?
Or do the Cougars continue their strong post-season success, ride the Hamson arm and the nation leading block, and punch their ticket to OKC?

i think this is going to be a big toss. BYU had a great season and only lost a few. They had big matches against Washington who they took to 5. They spanked Utah. And their run in the tournament was impressive. I thought FSU was going to be difficult to overcome, and they took them convincingly.
Nebraska needs to have some extra fuel from last night's win left over. Nebraska has on a roll lately as well.

The most interesting thing will be how prepared will both teams be... It's easy to prepare for one match, and both were underdogs... So how much it e was spent scouting the other this past week. Since both are upsets.... Did either coaching staff sleep last night? Who can make adjustments- with little time.
If Nebraska plays like they did last night they win, but it's really hard to repeat that level of play. I think BYU can be stable they will get it.

BYU beat FSU with Gray having a very mediocre match. Nebraska played well last night but the glass slipper only works once. I think Gray will have a big match and the Cougars beat the Huskers in 4.

As always with Nebraska, it's on Mary. If she sets well (location, tempo, and decisions) then Nebraska wins. If not, BYU. Pretty simple.

I've only seen BYU play once this year (Washington) and that was a long time ago. How does Hamson compare to McMahon?

As always with Nebraska, it's on Mary. If she sets well (location, tempo, and decisions) then Nebraska wins. If not, BYU. Pretty simple. A few other things will come into play. Nebraska's service errors at crucial points last night against Washington were maddening and frustrating. They're going to have to clean that up. Also-----how Nebraska deals with BYU's skyscraper who FSU had NO ANSWER for will be key.

Nebraska has been winning serve and pass. That's going to be key, as always. If Nebraska can play floor defense like they did last night, it will be hard to beat them. This should be such a good match! It's too bad we have to wait another almost 12 hours.

Hamson had 30 kills and hit .397 last night. Hard to do that back-to-back. Then again, Gray could play better.

What really amazed me was that Hamson's mother appeared to have a good 3-4 inches on her.

What really amazed me was that Hamson's mother appeared to have a good 3-4 inches on her. She was still standing on the seating. DONU is going to have their hands full with BYU.

I think BYU is a formidable opponent. I'm curious to see how Nebraska responds to the BYU block. FSU had a hard time, primarily because (from what I saw) their hitters were more intent on trying to power through the block rather than use it.
Hamson is pretty impressive. I'm impressed with her dexterity at her height.
