I just hope that it is as good as last year's regional final. That level of play in prime time on ESPN2 will help advance the sport. That was a great match.

Hancock will have to serve lights out every time at the line, the rest of the team will have to play the best games of their careers and Stanford will have to somehow play at a lower level than they did against Florida, for this to be competitive. Waiting to see what Russ Rose comes up with. He may be in shock when viewing the Stanford-Florida tape. Not so sure about that.

Stanford in 5. Penn state is good, but stanford always finds a way to win. And boukather won't rest until her teams wins. Bugg will also push her team.

U make it sound like Stanford is leagues better then psu and basically would just have to show up to win and psu would have to have game of season. Have I seen both teams play. It's pretty even matchup. It's a tossup. Your perception is skewed Stanford has the best floor defense than anyone in the country, IMO. Balls that would normally fall for Penn St. won't be falling much against Stanford. They're a very scrappy team that keeps on digging away until they finally put the ball away. I think that'll be the difference this game.

Stanford may have one if top defenses but psu is the best side out team with best hitting percentage in country. They are also one of top serving teams in country. Like I said game is a tossup

Your prediction is fair enough, but your justifications?? Ummm...Are you saying that Penn State does NOT always find a way to win (I'm assuming you mean when it really counts because no team ALWAYS finds a way to win), and Penn State does not also have hugely competitive players who have proven many times over that they know how to will their team to victory? I think you couldn't have picked a less convincing reason for a Stanford victory over PSU than ability to grind out wins or competitive fire.

Even when stanford plays awful, they always find a way to win. Their scrappy. I don't see that same scrappiness in PSU. I see talent in psu, and they will fight, but stanford has that resiliency that I haven't seen from any other team this year.

I'll be anxious to see the excuse if they lose

To have resiliency u have to be behind and come back. Psu hasn't had many of those matches this year. Before Wisconsin took set other day they had 45 straight sets won. So it's hard to have argument there.

Stanford 100-24 W/L Sets Overall: 33 - 1 Pac-12: 19 - 1 Home: 18 - 0 Away: 12 - 1 Neutral: 3 - 0
PSU 106 -9 W/L Sets Overall 34-3 Conf. 18-2 Home 18-1 Away 10-2 Neutral 6-0
Stanford wins
PSU wins more efficiently?
Splitting hairs I guess. Should be a great match and one that "most" everyone wanted

Some of the notions on this match are funny

Results are results though. The two are pretty evenly matched though.

This match should draw a big crowd of local supporters, two Oklahoma-natives fighting for a spot in the final; Inky Ajanaku is from Tulsa, Micha Hancock is from nearby Edmond (and had originally committed to Tulsa).
