The plan is to use Ratzlaff as Albrecht 2.0. Put her in the back row and you can always play her all the way around if she wows you or if you run out of subs.

Albrecht will be a junior, the Rolfzens and Justine seniors, Maloney a sophomore, Molly a freshman... They won't need her. I'll be surprised if she ever plays. They have better attackers and better defensive players.

Huskers pick-up a verbal tonight from Alex Ratzlaff - Class of 2016 - 5'10" OH from Hillsboro, KS. My first thought was that she might be a bit short to be an OH, but after watching her play, that girl has really got some moves. She looks like she could play the entire back court by her self!! AND, there are some impressive 5' 10''OH's in the Big 10. What she may lack in height she makes up with her jump. Its nice to see all this talent heading to Husker land. Who are these impressive 5'10" OH's? I can't recall their names.

I'm still waiting for the Badgers to win their first title before I contend that they're onto something with shorter outsides...

Looking at this roster, how do they only have 12 on scholarship?? Someone's probably transferring? I'm sure Cook has it all figured out. I don't know if it is still this way or not but liberos were only given a 2 yr schollie when the liberos were first being used. they dont have a set rule as to how they scholarship that position. It depends on the athlete, and depends on the situation.

I have a hunch this will all be evident before summer classes.

I have a hunch this will all be evident before summer classes. What would that hunch be based on? You dont know anyone even remotely close to the program. Why do you insist on weighing in on topics of which you literally don't know anything about? This is really just mind boggling. It would be like me getting on an astrophysics site and posting. LOL MTC, I thought your apology to Husker nation the other day showed your commitment to not posting in the Nebraska 2015 thread with the modicum of information you don't even have over Nebraska volleyball. Go play around in the Political Ramblings section of VTalk. There's a guy named Elevation, who I'm sure will love to make new friends.

I see your definition of hunch and raise you Intuition - the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.

Is it acceptable for a coach to take a scholarship from a player if he discovers a more talented player wants to transfer into his team? Is it more acceptable for that coach to repeated tell a player she will not get any PT once the transfer arrives in hopes that the less talented player transfers out? I only ask these questions because I don't know what I'm talking about but seek to understand how coaches think. It amazes me the depths Dorothy (previously know as Keystone Kid) will stoop to rationalize everything his pal tells him to do. Of course I never could figure out why a guy would choose to use a woman's name as his identity on this chat board either. Now I have a hunch Dorothy will respond to this thread with YDKWYATA.

Come on here, ask a legitimate question and then take a sidebar to take shots at me, very subtle. I'm happy to respond to a good question from someone who is unsure about something but wants a greater understanding. Why wouldnt I? I would however ask the following questions before answering what is a legitimate question on your part. What pal tells me to do things? What does this have to do with me? Why is this question being asked in the Nebraska 2015 thread? Now to answer your question. If a coach calls a kid in who has no real future as a player in that program and says, "we are committed to supporting you here, you are welcome to your scholarship and your place on the team, but should you wish to explore a transfer we will help you." This is hardly uncommon, and it actually is something that is in the best interest of the player, as I said they can keep their current status or pursue a better one, and they get to make the call. If the coach makes the call, I consider it to be unprofessional. If the kid is working hard, a great teammate and just isnt good enough, than its your recruiting mistake, not theirs. Lastly, Dorothy Mantooth is a fictional character from a comedy. I am amazed at the depths you would go to in an attempt to embarrass someone only to further embarrass yourself, if that is even possible.

You know any coach with integrity would not do those things you are asking. You are really implying this is taking place with your sarcastic approach and there is no need to keep throwing stones if all you are trying to do is insult Dorothy.........it just makes you seem petty!
