we had a nice size group show up for a Gopher booster club tailgate party before the Northern Iowa match last Sunday.
Even some of the UNI fans were socializing with us there before the match.

BTW, what do the boosters use to tenderize those gophers before putting them on the grill?

Its parity on the courts party off the courts. Apparently it is a violation of some sort of volleyball rule to bring food onto the court while matches are being played. We leave the decisions regarding what to use as tenderizer up to the coaches and trainers. I imagine that's why none of the coaches or playes tend to show up to the tailgating parties we host.

Ruffda must be otherwise occupied, so on his behalf (albeit without his permission or knowledge): Since when are they "intra-state" rivals, or has Des Moines taken over as state capital from Mine-haha? And, for the uffdeenth time, it's "whom," not "who."

Does 'intra-state' mean "between states?"

Does UCSB do this? What a great idea!! Pre-VolleyBall SOCIALS!! I like it, I like it, I like it. Someone with a solid following should try this and see how it helps attendance! Speaking of which, they should open up the concession stand above the Duke Kahnamoku Aquatic Center or put a cart bar near the promenade. There is a lot of people waiting outside the SSC waiting for people or tickets. It would probably help for other schools to have a setup that allowed food and games to matriculate outside the arena as well. Some schools have student rallies before games and luau events but those are only special occasions. It probably would suck for Cold Weather states during the winter but hey maybe they can pass out coffee and hot cocoa!!!
