Alohi has had an amazing effect on BYU, just so steady. Her 1st start of the season and beats Nebraska. That's got to be scary for Texas.

I agree, if Alexa and Hamson and BYU middles are firing all over the place, Texas will have a very dangerous team on their hands, and with BYU being the number 1 blocking team in the country, well, we shall see how the Longhorns handle it. On the flip side of this match, if Texas is firing on a cylinders then BYU will have a huge and dangerous team on their hands, plus Texas is a very strong blocking team, the way to beat Texas is forcing them out of system. Of course I would love to say " Texas in 4" but honestly, this one is anybody's, BYU squashed Nebraska, Texas squeaked by UNC. I love my horns, hope they pull it off! Yes, Texas squeaked by UNC but BYU is not UNC. Texas in three!

byu has the personnel to match up very well against texas' physicality at the net. hoping for a good mthq, and some battles at the net. byu has some tough serving that can force texas to go to the outside to face a formidable byu block. but even when unc was putting a 3-man block on eckerman, it didn't stop her much. just as interesting is the matchups in the middle -- as both teams have great tandems. texas is fun to watch, but i think it'd be cool to see unseeded byu break through to the final. UNC made a mistake using triple block on Eckerman, IMO. Eckerman just went OTT most times and therefore negated the triple. Better to drop 4 back on defense than an ineffective 3man block.

All the pressure is on Texas going against an unseeded team.
And from the looks of the first seconds of the broadcast, Texas looks nervous,BYU looks loose.

Yes, Texas squeaked by UNC but BYU is not UNC. Texas in three! I wish I could trust you as a prognosticator but BYU posses a different challenge than UNC. I think UNC would have an easier time against BYU because of their floor defense, but Texas needs to have great serve receive tonight, and shut down the left side and middle and that will give them the advantage.
