Bohler Gym looks really really tiny for a Pac12 gym.

Bohler Gym looks really really tiny for a Pac12 gym. Indeed. Thought the same thing. Looks a lot like where the Rutgers women's team plays ( link). These are probably good though from an attendance standpoint; better to have a fuller small gym than an empty large gym.

Bohler Gym looks really really tiny for a Pac12 gym. It seats 3,000. But WSU has another facility, Beasley Coliseum, which seats 11,600. That's now where they play MBB and WBB. I've seen three WVB matches at Bohler. It's a cozy environment and great atmosphere. The problem is the damn ceiling rafters which are just too low. They spent a lot of money ($20M, I think) to refurbish the place. So I doubt they would ever move WVB to Beasley. Just for a frame of reference for those who aren't familiar with NW geography: Pullman, home of WSU, is a 5-hour drive from Seattle...but is exactly 8 miles from Idaho. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. )

By comparison, Bohler Gym is a palace.

Maybe the stinky fog is forcing him out of Seattle.

Seems like an odd move for JMac. Wondering how much money ND threw at him? I'm also wondering what it implies about the UW job? Maybe he didn't see a potential championship in the near future? What does this do to UW recruiting for the next 2-3 years? Will UW promote an assistant or look outside? Such an interesting scenario.

Recruiting for the next 2-3 years already had some serious holes. I think he missed on some big targets and realized it would bes a few years before they got back to beating Stanford/Wisconsin. If they threw some money at him, he thinks ND has a higher ceiling, and there's gonna be a mini-rebuild anyways, might be a good time to switch.

I know he's Catholic, FWIW.
But it doesn't make a ton of sense to me, if true.

I always thought he would leave UW eventually, ( although I thought it would be to USC or Hawaii when Mick or Dave finally retired)

Would UW consider Tanner for HC?

I'm going to campus tonight to burn some cars. Who wants to join me?

No more Vansant. No more JMac. I'm not even seeing big recruits in the pipeline on PrepVB. What is going to happen at Washington?
Hopefully the Huskies rebound and have success like UCLA did after Banachowski retired. Otherwise I'll miss the Huskies-Huskers rivalry!
