Are the American women who play ball for Russian teams paid in Rubles? (the official currency of Russia). The Ruble has taken a turn for the worse. Or is there some clause in their contracts that they get paid USD

you can be sure that russians have euros & dollars stashed .. their economy resembles the wild west where tax avoidance & off books sales happen every day which is why the govt relies so much on oil, gas, etc revenues. smart russians who have rubles saved up are out buying stuff - if they cant use it they still buy it for future use or barter. i have friends in spb who r smart with their cash & dont believe 'putin' media
