Both Gonzalez and Fuller have not gotten nearly enough credit the last two years. They have been unbelievably important to this team. Everyone focuses on Hancock and the hitters, but without them PSU comes up short both of the last two seasons. Remember them both as freshmen? They were serviceable; no one could assert herself, with Carpenter also in the mix. As sophomores they were slightly better, but as juniors they really turned it on. In 2011, PSU had awful floor D and passing. That cost them hugely. The last two seasons, our passing and floor D might be as good as it has been in the last 8 years. I am serious. I think Gonzalez is not quite as good as D'Errico, probably on par with Holehouse... but Fuller and Gonzalez together as well as the general improvement in the other backrow players has made for, to me, the best floor D and passing this team has had in a long time. I love it. It is going to be uncomfortable to see it all reset next year. Thank you for everything, Lacey and Dominique. You've been so important to this team.

Fuller made one diving up facing the back line but other than that don't remember anything you wouldn't expect from a DS, libero.

Most all liberos and DSs are unrated. Really good defensive players make it look really easy.

Yes, I'd add Fuller also; nobody sacrificed more for winning than her

They have a lot but my guess is one of pierce sisters, dykstra or incoming freshman canuli could sneak in there. Don't see it from others but could be wrong

For those predicting repeat next year, Libero will need time to adjust, just likE Dom did. Don't expect miracles, there is a lot to the position. I also felt that Dom has been left out of the discussion as one of the top liberos, she has shown two years in a row her value. Wanted an ace on match point but not a let serve. Felt bad for BYU.

wait, who's the libero next year for Penn? Pierce? You can cover two choices with that. lol I think Dykstra will be in the mix, but both Pierce sisters were the the secondary DS subs after Fuller. Could signal their place on the depth chart. Long way to go to the first match of the season, but I think they have the inside track.

I thought Dykstra was a big time defensive recruit for PSU and she red-shirted this year since Dom was a Senior.
