With 2 first year setters? Don't you usually want one to have exp Yeah, but both setters are fantastic, you have so many potential AA hitters, you have the passing to be able to run it, and Bryanna already knows most of the hitters. Plus you have Coach Rose. It's at least something to think about. Where are you getting that both setters are fantastic?

I guess most setters look fantastic after watching my longhorns all year

Where are you getting that both setters are fantastic? Then "both" setters not fantastic? Or maybe just one? Maybe none (yikes)? The point is that neither have proven anything. They're complete unknowns. Some players transition well into college buy some don't. PSU has no idea whether their setter play will be good next year.

PSU has no idea whether their setter play will be good next year. I'm sure Weiskircher who was the #13 recruit out of high school and already one season in the practice gym will be able to manage setting all 4 or 5 all-american hitters. It's funny that you guys are even worried.

Great athletes can hide a lot of errors by setter and that what psu's setter will have going for her

I wonder how Michigan will deal with loss of Dannemiller. Also, I'm not seeing how Purdue fixes the problems they had this year with the incoming players, and having lost Nichol. Still, they were probably good enough to be in NCAAs this year, but suffered from the RPI fiasco. I do think Minnesota will bounce back a bit. Purdue will be better next year.

It's funny that you guys are even worried. Doesn't matter. Until they do it on the court under live fire you just don't know. Just as much as great hitters can elevate a setter, mediocre setting can impair great hitters.

Who knows. We gotta see how schedule sets up. I think psu will be vulnerable early with a new setter and libero which depending on schedules could allow someone else to jump in a claim Big. If you don't get them early might be a problem. Psu has consistently shown they are always ready to go towards end of season. Like I said earlier, in my opinion I think Nebraska is best shot but it very we'll could be badgers. I wouldn't sleep on ohio state either. Most are prob gonna go " what no Illinois or Minnesota?" Until they can show me they can play more consistently on year to year basis I'm not putting them up there. Every year it seems to be the same with both schools. A lot of talent but consistently inconsistent. Shows how little you actually follow volleyball outside of Penn State. Minnesota had made the Sweet 16 for 5 years in a row prior to this year. Plus 16 straight NCAA tournaments. If that's not consistent I don't know what is. Obviously Minnesota wont be at the top of the conference, but don't say they haven't been consistent in recent history, because they were as consistent as it comes. EDUCATE yourself before you speak, because you sound really stupid. It felt so weird not having Minnesota in the tournament this year. I know it was a down year for them, but I've always regarded Minnesota as a quality program. I did have some of my lofty expectations deflated over the past two seasons, as I thought Hugh's arrival would spell out greatness for the Gophers. For the sake of the B1G's dominance in college volleyball, I'd love to see the Tapp sisters become the best MB duo in the country.
