Nebraska's 2005 6-2 was favored to beat Washington in the championship match.
In retrospect, a huge contribution to that loss was due to chemistry issues between the two NPOYs Pavan and Houghtelling, considering that Nebraska wasn't even playing at 50% of how it consistently performed against other teams (Stanford, USC, Penn State, Texas) all season long. Husky fans, don't take this as an insult toward your claim to the championship, because Washington played great that night. Nebraska just stopped communicating by that NC match, which cost them the championship.
