This is interesting. Is this an informal tryout for the national team? Karch gets to see the players he's most interested in. Interesting that Bugg, Burgess, Vansant aren't on the list. Burgess and vasant I can see. Never thought bugg had enough skill to make national team

I doubt there will be any East-West lineups. The roster will be divided based on making it a competitive match and who the national team staff wants to see in particular positions/situations.

One of lowe, Hamson and Holston will not start, interesting. Probably Holston.

Another reason for burgess could be not risking injury. I know inky is playing but this is the superclasses last chance at nc. If this were psu in that position I wouldn't want their players out there in offseason

Washington starts their Winter Term on the 5th so unless Vansant graduated in December, she's probably finishing up school.

How I wish this was at the Olympic Training facility in Colorado Springs.

With her (and a couple others), there were some academic issues to work around. And yes, I think I could probably put up a stream. It will just be the fixed back-angle scout cam, but if people are interested, I could get it up on YouTube like I had for the Hawaii match when the USA stream was not available.

I am not knocking Hancock at all, but when you hear rumblings of NT coaches converting top spin servers to floats because it is more difficult to pass on international level, Bugg would be the better setter (Hancock does have a unique top/side spin serve though so maybe they want to see it again better competition).

In my humble opinion Hancock is by far the better setter. Micha is much quicker to the ball, she makes consistently better decisions, and has demonstrated that she can lead her team to National Championships. Bugg is definitely a good, but not a great setter. I would take Hancock, Carlini, or a healthy Edelman before Bugg.

If people can't see that Hancock has been a great setter and leader after helping her team win a second National Championship, there's little point in arguing. Look at the results. Who has done better over the last two years? In my humble opinion Hancock is by far the better setter. Micha is much quicker to the ball, she makes consistently better decisions, and has demonstrated that she can lead her team to National Championships. Bugg is definitely a good, but not a great setter. I would take Hancock, Carlini, or a healthy Edelman before Bugg.

Gotta disagree. The only advantages Bugg has on Hancock is better hands and a slightly better block. Everything else is advantage Hancock.
