Looks like Micha's team earned a win. More than that, Micha's team was losing 1-2(sets) and Micha was put in her very first match in the 4th set and sparked the team to a 3-2 win with an Ace and 2 kills! The more I think about Micha and her accomplishments, the more I think she has a shot on Team USA's roster. The fact that she won a title with McClendon, Scott and Slay and claimed another title with a new cast of hitters speaks volumes of her leadership and setting skills. Give her 2015 and the first quarter of 2016 to develop and I think she could oust Courtney Thompson and be Glass' back-up setter come Rio.

It was the last place team in the league.. and really not what you think of when you think Italian League because of the team's budget issues in constructing the roster. Urbino gave Hayley Spelman 64 swings, which Stanford never even did. They also started 2 other Americans in the middle - Jessica Walker & Kiesha Leggs. Just not the level of competition you'd anoint a new NT starter against. Let's see how the rest of the season goes.

Urbino was up two sets against Congeliano, and Micha turned the match around for Imoco. I agree with you that she first has to prove herself on the international scene before she's sent to Rio. I'm confident, though, in her ability to develop over the next year and a half. Girl has a lot of fight and success!

Why the international scoring systems sucks: The 12-1 team is behind the 11-2 team Yeah, sort of how in the football Championship polls, TCU was ahead of Baylor when both had identical records against similar opponents, and Baylor and beaten TCU head to head. The NCAA caught a lot of flack during the four weeks or so that they had TCU listed ahead of Baylor.

Does anyone know where I can watch one of Lokomotiv Baku's matches from this season with Carli Lloyd? I can't find any on Laola. Is there another good site?

Rabita Baku (Akinradewo, Dixon) doesn't make it out of Champions League pool play after losing at home to Chemik Police today. Club will not be happy.

Not as shocking considering it was one of the toughest pools with Kazan and Chemik to advance. Shocking in the sense that Rabita has some of the world's best players in their respective positions. Castillo at libero, Tomkom at setter, Akinradewo at middle; backed by a supporting cast of Cruz, Dixon, and Skowronska. One criticism of Rabita that I've noted this season is how Tomkom throws way too many sets up to Skowronska in the front-row lineup with Cruz and Foluke, who was ready in transition without a defensive block so many times.

You've got to give some credit to Chemik Police as well. They've been impressive this season. I like Ferretti at setter better than Tomkom. She connects well with Foluke.
